Elegant Koi

Jeanne here today! I hope you're enjoying sunny skies and wonderful weather today! I'm sharing a card made with the beautiful Elegant Koi die!
I'm drawn to clean lines and contrasting colors of graphic design. That's probably what attracted me to craft dies. The drama and wow factor of the finished design can't be beat!
My Elegant Koi is placed on a background of Concentric Rings cut from different shades of blue card stock. I wanted to replicate the look of the rings when a drop of water hits the surface of a pond just right. It's easy to assemble the rings. I used a piece of tape to secure them on their reverse side. If you cut them from lots of colors you'll have plenty of rings left to make several colorful backgrounds for your images. A rainbow of colors would make two beautiful rainbows!
I adhered the koi die cut outline to a solid piece of card stock and then fussy cut it. I inlaid a few yellow die cut pieces to bring the koi to life. A few smaller rings were added to the background to look like bubbles coming up from the Elegant Koi. A simple hello sentiment and some sparkling clear sequins completes this card. I love the contrast of the orange and blue and hope you do too!

Hi Jeanne, I absolutely love this card, the colours are vivid and 'happy' and the koi is fabulous, as are the rings water bubbles, I absolutely love it !!
