Poppystamps Sponsoring Time Out Challenges

I know you love to make, but do you like to play card challenges on line? I do! Especially when I'm not feeling so crafty. They're a great place for inspiration. I like to see what other folks who like to craft are making, what's trendy, and get ideas for new techniques to try.
Poppystamps is sponsoring the latest Time Out Challenges Blog that begins today. That means if you make something and link it up you'll be entered to win a $20 gift certificate to the store. The inspiration this time is a quote that got me thinking about looking up at the stars and making a wish.
Here's what I made!
I started with a Distress Ink background of Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch. I applied the inks with a make up brush. I bought a set by Yoseng on Amazon and I wouldn't trade them for any other brush I've ever tried. They make soft inky backgrounds FAST! I splattered the panel with water, and then some watered down Salty Ocean ink.
Next I cut the panel with the All Star Collage and layered it over a second panel that I inked with Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers. I cut the All Star Collage a second time with a piece of gold scrap paper and used the stars as embellishments for a bit of bling.
I double cut the Believe Fresh Script word die from white and gold card stock and then adhered them together offset so the gold glitter paper peeks out from the white cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Donut What I'd Do clear stamp set. I put some tape over the "forget" on the sentiment before I inked it. Next I removed the tape and stamped the sentiment so only the words I wanted "you are awesome" got inked.

Hi Jeanne, This card is definitely 'awesome', the background is stunning, your brush makes a fabulous job of distress inking, I have never been able to get my backgrounds as 'smoothly' blended as yours, I am in 'awe'. Your colours are so pretty together and the die-cuts are so very effective, I absolutely love this !!
