We are so glad you could stop by today, and take a look at this fun card I created for our April Challenge, Blooming Garden!
I have a little kitty who LOVES to help me with everything I do, especially with my tiny garden that I have out on our apartment lanai. My kitty and my small space garden inspired me to create this card for our April Challenge. These "Whittle" animals that all came out this year are some of my very favorites, and today's Whittle Cat is sweetly checking out the Folk Watering Can filled with tiny flowers from the Spring Pot Shelves.
To create this card, I started with some watercolor paper and sponged on Distress Oxide inks in shades of blues and greens, gently giving them a soft blend to look like an outdoor horizon. Then I splattered the paper with water and a paintbrush, which gives the inks these beautiful layers of color. Once the paper was completely dry, I then cut out the Pointed Rectangle Frame and the other cuts, and estimated where I wanted the horizon line to appear, then cut it out and adhered it to my white frame.
I adhered that to my card base, then added all my die cuts, arranging the flowers and leaves from the Spring Pot Shelves into the Folk Watering Can, and adding the Stitched Fluttering Butterflies and a few sequins. It's the perfect design for my small space inspired Blooming Garden card!
Now it's your turn! We can't wait to see what you will create for our April Challenge, Blooming Garden! Just use at least one Poppystamps die or stamp, then link up your creation to our current challenge page on the right! What are you growing in your garden?
Thanks so much for joining us today! We'll see you in the garden!
