Hello Sweet Friend
by Nancy Penir
Hello, sweet friends! I have a friendship card for you today, with Poppy's new die, 'Spring Pots Frame'.
I watercolored all the elements, as well as the background and frame, with Arteza pens. Here's how I did it:
I wanted to use the outside frame from the Garden Party Sidekick Frame for my card, so I simply cut out the inside and colored the frame with my pens.
The frame was cut from watercolor card stock, spritzed with water, and then colored.
The same was done with the Spring Pots frame, spritzed with water, then colored with pens.
I also used the same coloring technique for the basket. And snipped some blooms from a 2nd Spring Pots die cut.
Once filled with blooms the basket was added to the corner of the frame. And I added some Nuvo drops to finish.
What's your favorite form of watercolor? Do you like the pens or pans? Have you tried watercolor pencils? Such a fun way to color your die cuts!

Myself, I LOVE ALL FORMS of water coloring! I haven't tried the pens like the kind you've used. I keep pricing them.... LOL I'll look at the brand you've used though! Your card is SO SPRING!!! Fabulous and so sweet card!! Love how you coloured the tiny pieces!
What a beautiful card!
A breath of spring air Nancy, very pretty!
Great card! I prefer pens but I suppose pans with a waterbrush aren't that different. Pens just seem easier.
Hi Nancy, Such a pretty card, your colouring is beautiful, and this frame die is so pretty, I love your design.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Cute, cute! I prefer markers :).
Ooh, this is gorgeous! I usually prefer watercolor pencils with a water brush for quick and easy coloring
Awesome creation!
Beautiful card!!!
Beautiful die. Love how you altered it to make your lovely card. Hugz
Such a beautiful card here, and this frame is just awesome for it. Love how you set this up and all the fussycut flowrs too.
The colors are so pretty on this spring card. I use watercolor pencils, I also have tubes but I don't feel I have as much control of the amount of pigment I use as I do with the pencils.
such pretty coloring, great background and love the little easter basket!
How cute your little scene is. I like how you painted everything.
