Happy Easter

With Easter on its way, I thought it might be nice to make something other than a card.

So today's design is something a little more 'fun' based in terms of design that's hopefully suitable as a small gift...  perhaps for a teacher or teachers aide?

To start with, you'll need a suitably sized notebook...

Some of you may well recognise this base layer design as I have used it once before!

Cut a piece of card to size (4.25 x 5.5"), add the Pinpoint Hearts as shown and then add the splatter of colour using a syringe and liquid watercolour.

Next comes the Bubble Spiral...

Followed by this partially cut Stitchwork Circle Frame.

To finish the base, cut approx 1/4 inch off the bottom and a little less from the left hand side.

Glue the base on to a piece of silver mirror card that measures 4.25 x 5.5"...

...  and add this Pierced Border to the left hand side.

(Here's another photo of the finished design to explain what I mean and save you scrolling back up to the top)!

To decorate, you'll need these...

...  and these!

I've cut the Peek A Boo Bunny three times and the word Easter twice before gluing the layers together.  Everything else has just been cut the once.

I also decided I would need an extra heart, so I've included the Heart Trio Showcase photo to show which of the smaller sizes I used.

Once everything is glued in to place, you may want to add a layer or two of spray varnish to add a little protection and durability to the front cover before attaching it to the notebook.

I hope this fun design has inspired you to have a go.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...
