March Serenade
by Olga Direktorenko

Hi crafty friends,

So many things are associated with the coming of spring, one of them being... cats! What are you thinking of as the spring approaches?

I have combined several different Poppystamps dies to create a March night scene. This card is simple to create and it's a lot of fun too. I have used inlay die cutting to create a cloudy sky background, some simple stamping for a sentiment and then just attached the die cut images (either with regular adhesive or mounting tape) to build up a little scene!

Hello Peeps
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_6042-wm

Hello Peeps!

Are you ready for spring? I sure am ready to say hello to one of my favorite spring peeps with a bright and breezy greeting card! take a look!

IMG_6038-wm

I just love the happy face on this sweet little Chick and Egg die cut! It pairs beautifully with the row of tulips from the Easter Chicks Clear Stamp and Die Set! Add a Big Luxe Hello and you are ready to welcome spring!

IMG_6036-wm

I kept this card very CAS by starting with a card base and the Pointed Rectangle Frame. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom, then stamped the tulips with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the tulips and leaves with copic markers. When they were completely dry, I cut out the tulip row with the matching die cut, which worked like a dream! I may not have mentioned this before, but I became a member of the Poppystamps design team because I honestly believe that Poppystamps are the best stamps and dies in the world! I am never disappointed with their amazing quality!

Once your have all your cuts, adhere them onto your card base and pop them in the mail! Don't forget the envelope too! These cheerful spring tulips will brighten up any plain white envelope in just a few minutes!

Birthday Wishes!
by Robin Tharaldson

Birthday Wishes Full WITH

My birthday gate fold card features stamps and dies from Poppystamps Spring Release! The release has several LARGE word dies and I Love them!! They include Sending, Hello, Thanks, You, Hugs and Wishes!! When I saw them I did my happy dance!

 Birthday Wishes CU3 WITH

I used the NEW background stamp, Picnic Plaid, to create my panels for the front of my card (another happy dance). I stamped with VersaMark ink,  heat embossed with white embossing powder and used distress inks to sponge onto the panel! A few flicks of black gouache added a bit of interest!

Birthday Wishes CU2 WITH

For my word die cut I cut 3 layers of the word background from Neenah 110# and 2 layers of the word itself from black card stock! After layering them together it created a very strong embellishment to close my card. I used Thin Clear Velcro Fasteners to close my card! The following video will show you just how the Velcro works!!

Thanks for stopping by today! AND be on the lookout, in March, for a Blog Blitz featuring the new release!! You could win one of the products from the Spring Release!

Sprinkled With Love
by Donna Peachey

EZy Watermark_20-02-2019_09-57-13-2

If you know someone who likes the occasional sweet treat, perhaps this quick and easy make is for you!

Here's a quick 'how to' guide...

FullSizeRender

Start by creating the background using the smaller of the two dies in the Deco Victor Square set.

You'll be using the die cut as a stencil.  I've used temporary spray adhesive to hold my dies in place whilst I add the Distress Oxide ink.

As you can see, I've also added water splashes and dried them off before removing the die cuts.

FullSizeRender 2

Next, cut out the dies you will need and glue them together.

I've chosen the 'Sprinkled With Love' sentiment from the cute Donut What I'd Do set, stamped it on Heat Resistant acetate and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

(Don't forget to use your anti static pad or it's equivalent first).

As my Heat Resistant acetate is quite flimsy I decided that a second layer from scrap packaging was needed.  Here's a photo that shows what that looks like...

_DSC9950-2

Before gluing everything into position the acetate needs to be cut to size...  which means folding and securing one end over the donuts.

Snapseed

As you can see, I've used a small staple to attach the two layers, then secured it in place with a piece of red liner tape.

I've also cut out an extra donut shape from scrap packaging, trimmed it down and attached that as shown to offset the height of the staple.

The donut hole came in handy, too!  I added an extra layer after this photo was taken and a small piece of red liner tape right along the bottom edge of the cupcake.

_DSC9952-Edit-2

Here's the finished card again...  with the length of the acetate strip adjusted.  That small piece of red liner tape under the Whittle Cupcake stops it from escaping!

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my fun make!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

With Love
by Donna Peachey

Edit-2-2

Have you seen the Poppystamps Challenge for this month?

It's all about 'Love'.  In fact, 'Love Me Do' is the theme.

So whether it's an engagement, a wedding, an anniversary...  or any other 'Love' theme you can think of, we would love to see your design.

Will you be playing along?

I do hope so!  There is still time.

Here's how my 'Love' themed card was made...

IMG_5008

I've started off by using the middle sized Pinpoint Hearts craft die.

FullSizeRender 3

To add the slightest hint of a background I've used a few of the die cuts from the Little Kindness set as stencils.

Be very gentle adding the ink.  (I used a finger dauber).  You want just the smallest amount to add a hint of a design to the background.

IMG_5001

Then I've inked up some stamping card using a gorgeous shade of pink liquid watercolour...  and once dry, cut out both sizes of Whittle Hearts.

Snapseed

Next comes the stamping (heat embossed).  Isn't this just the cutest little stamp set?

FullSizeRender

This Gentle Hearts die is really so versatile.  (It's just been discontinued this week, so if it was on your 'wish list' now's the time to get scouring the shops as some may still have it in stock).  I've simply cut it from a strip of black card and distressed the edges.

Notice that I've cut it ever so slightly wider than the width of the card base?

FullSizeRender 2

You'll need these two flowers (cut twice as shown) from the Tall Sketch Daisies set.  Glue them together to create a little dimension.

Then, using the same grey card, cut out two sets of the Birdsong Mini Corner (see supplies if you aren't sure what this die looks like).  You'll be cutting these corners in half as you only need the mini branch with two leaves on.

1-2

Assemble the card as shown (you'll need to trim down the flower stems), adding one tiny gem and one black heart...  then spray with silver glitter varnish.

2-2

I know glitter varnish can be hard to see on a photo.  Hope this close up helps!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by today.

Oh, and to save you looking here's a quick reminder...

You have until 12 am US EST on February 26th to link up your design to the challenge blog.

We can't wait to see what you make!
