Mistletoe & Holly
by Jeanne Jachna

Are you making your own Holiday cards this year? I always try to make at least enough for very close friends and family and write a personal greeting inside.  I know that the time and effort put into each one is appreciated.
If you love to color you can make lots of these pretty cards with the Mistletoe & Holly stamp set with coordinating dies.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and colored them with Copic markers.  When I started crafting I bought lots of different marker brands.  I avoided Copics because I felt they were too expensive.  Over time I've realized they are a great investment because they are refillable and the nibs are replaceable too.  The refill ink costs about the same as the original marker investment, and will refill the marker approximately 12 times.  With other marker brands I'd would have to buy the entire set again since most don't sell just one marker in the particular shade I need.

The coordinating window dies makes the stamped images easy to align and cut.   I always lay out the arranged pieces on a piece of plastic the same size as my card base.  Then I can pick up the sheet and place it over different color background and find the one I like best. I decided on pink Spun Sugar distress ink for the background this time.   It looks pretty with the green foliage and red berries.  The panel was splattered with water, some watered down Picked Raspberry and finally some white ink.
Double Stitched Rectangle Frames are layered over the distress ink panel to add detail and texture.
The Joy Outline die is a two die set - one of the dies includes the detailed letters, the second die is a background die.  It's versatile because you can use the letters only, or stack them on the background die.

Have a great day!  And Happy Crafting!

Beautiful card. Love the dies and stamps.

Gorgeous card , Jeannie! Love Everything about it!!!

Wow! Stunning card!!! Love the colors!!!

This is BEAUTIFUL, Jeanne! I also LOVE your Tip with the clear sheet & placing it over the different backgrounds! Need to make myself one of those! LOL I AM making all of my cards this year, I usually try to. Now, our son wants me to add all of his friends to my list! YIKES! His list is like double my list! LOL

Hi Jeanne, I love when there are dies to go with stamps (I prefer the 'edges' that a die provides as opposed to the edge that 'cutting out' gives), and these holly and mistletoe look gorgeous. I always like to see a frame on a card, I think it finishes a card off. I adore this card.
I usually make cards for my immediate family and very close friends, as I usually spend a lot of time making them haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Wow! This is stunnung!

Yes, I hope to make some Christmas cards, but need to make some Thanksgiving ones first! Like the color and design of your card!

So Lovely!
