Tall Sketch Daisies
by Jeanne Jachna

Jeanne here today to remind you to play along with our monthly challenge that begins on the first of every month.  This time the challenge is to "Make A Splash"!  You can interpret this challenge lots of different ways - like using  a technique that requires water or making a beach or lake side scene.   What a great way to cool off during the August heat with a sweet crafty escape!

08-18 copy
I made two cards with one die cut using the die cut images as well as the negative background.   To make my "splash"  I created two watercolor panels with distress ink (Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet).  I use the liquid ink refills as my paint.

I cut the Tall Sketch Daisies from a white card stock panel.    I layered negative over one of the watercolor panels.

And I adhered the white die cut daisies on the second watercolor panel.

Here's what they looked like before I finished them with sentiments.

I created a window panel for the watercolor panel with the white die cut daisies.  I cut the panel with the Stitchwork Square Frames and added one on top to give it a finished look.
I added a sentiment from Little Kindness and a sprinkle of gold Stitched Fluttering Butterflies!

For the card using the negative of the die cut daisies I added a Stitchwork Rectangle Frame and a Thanks Folksy Script sentiment cut from gold glitter paper.
I sure hope you join us for our challenge!  The monthly prize is a $20 gift certificate awarded to  one random player.   It's a great way to see what your friends are making too!
