Beaded Felt Christmas Pins by Marybeth Lopez

 

Hello! Marybeth here today! Looks like a few of us had the same idea again. I had this project completed on July 27 and couldn't wait to share my Christmas pins with you. Looks like the very creative and talented DT member Olga beat me to it. I so loved her paper pins.

 

I decided to make felt pins even though these are not stitched projects, they are very easy to make into one. You can even hot glue the layers of felt together  as I did on some of these. I have three layers on each pin . I used the last layer to hide the back side of the stitching.

The silver thing in the middle is what I use to thread my very tiny needle ( so the needle will go through the tiny beads.

The Mistletoe and Holly die set  from Poppystamps had a few different choices that you could choose from. I loving using glass beads and sequins on my felt projects . Since the mistletoe is on the thin side I will just add a very tiny safety pin to the back.

My mother made me some beautiful handmade pins years ago but now they go front and center on my Christmas tree. I love adding handmade treasures on our Christmas tree.

I made two versions on this pin one was stitched with thread as you can see in the first photo and this one with glass beads.

These are very simple and fun to make and a great time to make a few before we get too busy with Christmas.

BEAUTIFUL WORK, Marybeth! I too LOVE to make pins like this with my dies & stamps!You chose a PERFECT Die Set for this occasion! SUPER JOB!!! They will look EXCELLENT on a pretty sweater or coat! ;)

What fun to make enough pins to give to each ‘lunch bunch’ card gals! Especially at the Christmas luncheon! Can’t u just see a bunch of hens giggling as they open their card?
