I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing the card I made for our latest challenge . On the first of every month we start a new challenge with a different theme. It's fun to see different ways to use the dies and stamps. You might even win a prize. Every month we select two winners - one design that's our favorite receives our winner's blog badge, and one random player wins a $20 gift certificate to the Poppystamps Store. Here's what we're looking for this month...
PSC#42 Clean and Simple - This month we're looking for projects that are Clean and Simple. Clean and Simple is a style - it's typically defined by lots of clean white space, limited embellishments and layers, and one main image. The card should be easy to recreate and make multiples of and Just be sure to use at least one Poppystamps image (stamp or die) on your project!
This card is very clean with lots of white space but it has lots going on with color. I started my card by cutting the Finial Circle die three times - once from panel of white card stock, a second time from dark blue card stock, and a third time from a lighter blue card stock.
For a clean look it's always best to get the cuts as tight together as possible I assemble the pieces on their reverse side and tape them in place before adhering the assembled panel to the card base. For this card I attached a panel of lime green card stock to the card base cover. The lime green color peeks through the open leaves.
A bright yellow Stitched Butterfly adds lots of contrast and bold color to the card. The sentiment is from the "Believe in Magic" Stamp Set.
You can always find the latest challenge by clicking on the "Challenge" tab at the top of the page. OR the challenge badge in the right margin of the blog.
I sure hope you'll join us!
