Blue Valentine by Nancy Penir

Hello, and welcome to a post featuring one of the new Poppystamps dies, Blooming Rose.

Now I'm all about romance around Valentines, and the sweet femininity of this die hit all my girly buttons!

Here's a few tips on how I created this card.

I cut the rose image several time from different colors, gluing down 2 on my distressed card base.

Once my two rose diecuts were pieced onto the circle, I added foam squares to the back for a bit of a lift off the card.

I always overdo the foam if the card is being sent in the mail, to make sure nothing gets bent or collapses.

A closeup of the card's sentiment, which was doubled and a look at the uplifted center circle.

Lovely card! Very clever how you Paper pieced somevand used just the die cut to embellish. It’s given me some new ideas so thanks for sharing your art.
