Blog Blitz! Love Shaker
by Nancy Penir

Happy New Year, everyone! Poppystamps is in full Valentine mode with a Blog Blitz featuring all new Valentine dies!

I'm showcasing 'Love Stitch Circle Frame'. Together with another new die, 'Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames', here's a little inspiration for a 'Love Shaker' card.

I cut several of the love circles, one in white, 5 in red. Rather than use foam, I love the look of a contrast color to pop up my die cut.

The scalloped frames can be cut apart and used individually, but I kept them together and embossed a A2 sized card for an all over lacy look for my background.

A bit of Birch Press Design ribbon and some glitter dipped paper roses, and my shaker is ready for my valentine!

I used a combo of red sequins and red sequin hearts for my filler.

This angle gives you a better look at how I assembled the die cuts.

Don't forget, each comment during the blitz gives you a better chance to win one of the new Valentine dies! Hope you win!

Pretty! I like the effect of the stack of die cuts instead of foam. It solves a number of problems. You don’t have to worry about the bits sticking to the foam or having any gaps. It also adds color as you noted. I also Iike the effect you got with the frames all nested together.

Nancy, your card is outstanding! LOVE it!!!

Pretty shaker card! I love the textures with the embossed design, and the red & white combo! The Love Stitch Circle Frame is a beautiful die!

Who wouldn't love to receive this!

What a lovely card! It was a great idea to emboss the scalloped rectangle dies to make your background too.

Wonderful card!!! Really like the Love Stitch Circle Frame die!!!!

I love the embossed frames on your card! So pretty!!

What a gorgeous card, i really like how you put it all together! These new Dies are fab!

Awesome new dies...love the stitching!

Stacking die cuts w/a different color is a new idea to me. It gives a totally different look plus an added bit of color!

Fabulous work I always love a shaker! My goal this year - create more shakers - love the red and white TFS

wow--this is gorgeous. Perfect for a special someone.

Nancy, I really like today's card. It is so clean and fresh looking. I especially like that you just put a sprinkling of hearts in the shaker part, rather than emptying the kitchen sink into it.

Beautiful shaker card! Love all these new dies.

Beautiful shaker card! Love all these new dies.

Hi Nancy, This card is really beautiful !! Red and white is always a beautiful 'look', always looks fresh, and I absolutely adore how you have used the rectangle die in your background, it is so effective, and the gorgeous scalloped circle looks really lovely stacked up, and my favourite 'shaker', I absolutely love it !! This would be ideal for my hubby's Birthday on Valentine's Day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
