Sparkle

Hi there! Are you ready to get creative this weekend?

I love the look of sparkle this time of year, and have some tips to help your cards have some extra sparkle and shine using Poppy dies.

First get all your elements cut and ready. I used some frosty blues, whites and silver shimmer cardstock for my card.

With Crystal Ornaments die, I embossed and re-embossed my die cut several times with Stampendous Winter Wonderland.

Tip: Emboss once, and while still hot, press image into your powder, heat setting it again. I did this 4 times.

Poppy has a series of different sized ovals called Pointed Oval Frames, that actually give you a trio of options with your cut.

I used  the 2nd smallest  to create a window for my holiday shaker.

Tip: When cutting 2 layers, place die over the 2 cardstocks, taped together, to get them perfectly aligned. Even if they don't cut all the through the bottom layer, the image is indented for perfect placement on your 2nd run through.

I'm so excited to see sequin mixes in the Birchpress Design shop. This set is called Festival of Lights. Just look at all the shapes, colors and sizes you get in one package.

Hope I gave you some inspiration for your holiday cards.

Enjoy your weekend, and happy crafting!

Lots of love from Patricia xx

Gorgeous card Nancy! Thank you for the excellent embossing powder tip, I need that one for this year's cards. Also the die cutting the ovals two colours tip, I need that one too! The Crystal Ornaments are beautiful on your card and the sparkle word is the perfect sentiment.
Your colour choices are my primary choices for this year's card. Very inspiring to see these colours used in this card. Love the shaker element. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, inspiring card today.
