Hello! I am so excited that the holidays are officially here! Place cards have always been one of my favorite things to make because not only do they help guests find their places, but they also add such a nice touch to the table decor. A little note or poem for each guest could be added inside, or they can be left blank. We personally draw names for Christmas gift giving after Thanksgiving dinner, so these place cards can also double as the name drawing cards.
The dies easily cut through two sheets of paper which was perfect for my assembly line.
I love the versatility the Classic Cottage die! The dishes I am using have little red houses and barns on them, so the way the die allows for different colors allowed me to make a perfect match the plates.
When Poppystamps came out with the Tree Trunks die, I was so excited to see the small size which was perfect for this business card size design. It was hard for me not to add a skyline in the back, or a snowbank... but that is also the beauty of this die! It allowed me to create many of these very quickly, and still look beautiful. I "let the dies do the work..." ~ thank you, Poppystamps! :)
I think the most difficult choice for the entire project was where to put the name. In the end, I chose not to cover the beautiful trees and I wrote each name across the door. My name was the longest, and it fit just fine!
Let the holidays begin... and here's to letting the dies do the work this holiday season. :) More info (and maybe even a bonus idea) in the video below.
Have a great day, and Happy Thanksgiving!
