Blooming Poppy Thanks by Nancy Penir

Hi there! I'm excited to show you a card today, with one of the new dies called, 'Blooming Poppy'.

I live in California, and poppies are our state flower. They bloom in abundance in the spring, filling hills and valleys with their bright orange hues. But poppies come in many colors. My card features pinks and coral.

Here's how I made it.

The die set features the petals, stem and poppy bud. I knew I wanted to make a bouquet so I cut all my images out of cart stock.

For a bit of dimension I gave a shadow to each petal before assembling my bloom.

A quick and easy couple of swipes with a copic of a near shade to my card stock.

I cut a piece of scrap card stock to glue my petals onto. Also die cut the bud in the color of the poppy to add to the stem.

Once I liked the layout of my card, I added my sentiment die, together with a couple of fern from Garden Sprig,

onto a strip of vellum.

A few drops of rainstones, and my thank you card is done!

Hope you enjoyed my post today. The dies I used are listed below. This die is so easy to use and assemble, and would be fun watercolored, sponge inked or shaded with pencil.

Morning Nancy, Wow !! this card is so beautiful, I love your bouquet of poppies, and I love the touch of vellum with the sentiment, really beautiful. This is another die set that I have to have haha.

Stunning card Nancy!! Love that you added a little Copic coloring to the centers. The vellum sentiment panel is perfect with all of the pretty poppies. This is marvelous!
