Wirework Ornaments
by Jeanne Jachna

Are you getting ready for Christmas?  I know.. there's so much running around to do right?   It seems like there's always something on your "TO DO" list this time of year!  I'm making a few more cards for last minute presents to hand out.  I like to drop off bagels or donuts at the dentist, and veterinarian, and I can just tuck this in the bag of goodies.
If you know me.. then you know I love bold bright colors, something a little unexpected!   I hope this one makes you smile!
I started with a pink background created with the Botanica Frame Die.  I cut the die from pink card stock, and then layered it over a fuchsia panel.  I trimmed the panel down about 1/4 on all sides to layer it on an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5").
I cut the Wirework Ornaments from metallic gold foil paper, and used the Retro Ornaments as a background.  I layered green, blue and yellow behind the intricate foil cut outs.  To create a little more dimension, and add some shading I inlaid just a few pieces of darker cards stock on each.  This didn't take long and I only added about 5 inlays on each ornament.
The ornaments are adhered directly to the base (no pop ups on this one) so it was easy to adhere the Merry Christmas Script sentiment over the ornaments.  The finishing touch was a sprinkle of gold sequins to coordinate with the gold Wirework Ornaments.
I love the fun colors and retro glam this one has!   What will you make today?

Morning Jeanne, A very beautiful contemporary Christmas card. The wire ornaments dies are very detailed and fine, I'm loving your paper piecing with the inlays, it adds dimension and interest too. I love this card.
I had a little chuckle when I read that you give donuts to the dentist hahaha !! it has made my day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

My socks are clean on the other side of the room. (No, I didn't DROP them there.)

This is a spectacular card. Your use of the two very nearly same hued colors throughout is positively stunning. That background die is great trimmed down, too.

Whoever receives this card will be keeping it for many years to come. The folks in your life are very lucky, and I'm happy to know you. (There is s bit of naughtiness in your delivering sugar to the dentist, but it's the season for indulging, so Santa won't hold it against you.

Have a marvelous holiday full of family and peace, dear blog friend.

This is gorgeous!!!

Love beautiful colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a Bright and Beautiful card!!
