Apple Butter Gift Tags
by Jinny Newlin
Morning, y'all! It's Jinny here today, sharing a couple more of my apple butter gift tags. For the first one, I turned our Bauble Tree Background die into a tag itself; and for the second, I had lots of fun creating a watercolor scene.
Let's get up close and personal with the first.
I started this tag by die-cutting the Bauble Tree Background base from Basic Black cardstock and topping it with a die-cut, from silver, glitter cardstock, Merry Bauble Tree. It's bottom edge was then decked out with a silver-embossed, on a strip of black cardstock, "MERRY CHRISTMAS" sentiment, which I popped up with foam tape.
A die-cut, from white, glitter cardstock, Ava Snowflake dresses up its middle...
and its top was simply punched with a small hole through which to thread white string, which was tied, in a bow, after being laced through a black button and embellished with lots of fabulous, color-coordinating ribbons and trims, tied in bows themselves.
I used our largest Festival Tags die as a foundation for the second.
It was watercolored and speckled in shades of aqua and turquoise. I then die-cut the Winter Pine from textured, Garden Green cardstock. Before popping it out of the die, I sponged it up with VersaMark ink to emboss the layers of snow with white powder. It was then popped up with foam tape, just as the deer, which was die-cut from Soft Suede cardstock, was. I couldn't help but give the deer a little, red, rhinestone nose, before splattering everything with Titanium White acrylic paint.
The "the most wonderful time of the year" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, along the vertical right edge of the tag.
Before the tag was laced, through a punched hole, surrounded with a die-cut, Crumb Cake cardstock ring, and tied in a bow, another scrumptious, white, glitter, cardstock Ava Snowflake die cut was added, to the tree, to complete the look.
That covers things, for today, Poppystamps' friends. Thanks so much for visiting us, and have a terrific Tuesday!

Morning Jinny, These tags are really beautiful, and the embellishments finish off, beautifully, your homemade preserves.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Wonderful tags!!!
Ahh, I haven't had apple butter in a very long time but both of these tags look so pretty with these jars.
Super beautiful tags! Love Apple butter! Yum!
What a lovely pair of tags Jinny!! They're both festive and full of fabulous details. Pretty mix of ribbons in your bow!
Ginny WONDERFUL tags but I could hardly concentrate after you said APPLE BUTTER. It's been since I was little and it is soooo good on toast. My mom made mmmm good. If you ever have the chance to try or make crab apple jelly.....well just to pass it by.
Fun idea to use the die as a tag. I love both of these and apple butter!
Cute tags and innovative projects.
