Sending Warm Wishes
by Jinny Newlin
Morning, y'all! It's Jinny here today, sharing a die-cut shaker card that simply drips with the essence of fall.
I started this card by watercoloring a simple background on a piece of watercolor paper. I then die-cut a Tucked Corner Tag from White cardstock; punched its top edge to make room for a little hemp twine wrapped through a Crumb Cake, cardstock, Festival Tags ring; stamped it, in Jet Black ink, with the partial "WARM WISHES" sentiment; and embossed it with a scattering of stars.
I then laid it over the watercolor background before splattering everything with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Once everything was dry, I anchored the watercolored panel, to the White, cardstock, card face, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitches and popped the tag up, with foam tape, in its center. The Carved Diamond Pumpkin was die-cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock; hand-cut around its edges to free it from the cardstock surface; backed with a clear panel, sandwiched between the original and a solid piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock; and stuffed with a happy mix of sequins and seed beads. A trio of Chocolate Chip, cardstock vines, as well as a Chocolate Chip, cardstock stem and Garden Green cardstock leaves prep the pumpkin for its new home to which it was adhered with foam tape. The "Sending WARM WISHES" sentiment was then completed with a die-cut, White, cardstock "Sending", layered over the pumpkin's bottom right edge.
The tag itself was further dressed up with a fluffy, white, seam binding ribbon bow, embellished with a lone pearl, to complete the look.
Thanks, as always, for humbling us with a visit! Be blessed!
