New Stitched Snowflake Square
by Jeanne Jachna
I hope you're enjoying our Blog Blitz! We'll be sharing projects featuring the new dies through October 3! We're happy to be sharing some prizes with you too! Today I'm showing the new Stitched Snowflake Square. It's about 2 1/2 " Square and sort of looks like a puzzle piece with snowflake cut outs. This one would look great on a clean and simple card with a scallop square background and a simple sentiment. Of course I wanted to think of something that would WOW so this one is a little trickier.
I started with a 6" square piece of card stock and drew a border in pencil 1/2" from each side. It's important to line up the die exactly each time you cut so that they're prefectly centered. I rotated the die for each cut so that each square would face a different direction. I didn't want the pattern to repeat.
I removed all the pieces I die cut and replaced them with colorful inlaid pieces.
The Laurette Snowflake cut from gold foil was topped with the Swirled Peace Die for a fancy focal point. A sprinkle of gold sequins is the finishing touch to pick up on the gold in the Laurette Snowflake.
So what do you think of the Stitched Snowflake Square? Want to win one of your own? Just leave me a comment!
