Blog Blitz Begins!

Bauble Tree One
What a great day for a visit!  The Poppystamps Team has been hard at work and we have another new release of holiday dies to share!  This is our favorite time to post on the blog  because while we're showing you the new products we get to thank you for being so sweet to us all year round by giving a gift on every single post.   We've got 36 new dies to share that I know you're just going to love.

Today I'm sharing the new Merry Bauble Tree.  I started with a panel of white card stock.  I die cut the bauble tree from the center and then added some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.  I used a stencil brush to get it nice and soft.  Next I took a little extra ink, added water and splashed it over the card.  To get some sparkle and shine I added a splash of Fine Tec gold watercolor paint too.
Bauble Tree Three
When it was all dry I attached the panel to my card base.  I added lots of sticky tape behind the insert so I could inlay all the little circles of the Christmas tree.  Lots of the circles are the same size so you don't have to match up exactly where each circle goes.  The gold glitter paper picks up on the gold splashed background.
Bauble Tree Two
I double cut the Merry Christmas script sentiment - once in pink and once in red before adhering them to the Bauble Tree.   I use a needle tip applicator that I fill with Ranger Multi Medium Matt adhesive.  I use a stamp block over my die cuts to hold them in place while they dry.

Hi Jeanne, a gorgeous card, just what I need to get me moving on my card making for the coming Christmas season. I cannot wait to see what else Poppystamps have instore for us to use on this years cards! Thank you for the inspiration... Megan

Such a fun bright card : )

A great Christmas die to get the creative juices flowing!
Lovely bright card.

Morning Jeanne, This is a lovely card, I love how you have paper pieced this lovely die, and also the 'splashed' background, especially the gold ties in with the glitter.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the new dies !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Wow Jenna you always make such fun cards, I love this tree ,I think I must have a thing for circles as I love the loopy rings die from memory box but this tree is such fun. I would never have thought about offsetting red with a backing of pink very clever it really makes it look 3D, I find pink hard to use so now I know how I can use my pink card thank-you for sharing and looking forward to seeing more.

Sorry Jeanne think I missed some keys in your name in my excitement about your card appologies

What a unique and different tree! Oh, the possibilities. Beautiful example. Thank you!

Nice job with this fun card...I can see lots of possibilities with the tree die. Really like the splashes of gold on your background and the tree. Using pink for the sentiment shadow is a great idea.

Wonderful card. I love the fantastic funky modern design of the bauble tree.

What a fun and new twist for a Christmas tree die...I just LOVE it!! Hope all is going well for you, I love all your work, always!!

Your Bauble Tree is so pretty! Thanks for sharing!

Very fun and festive and I like the sparkle.

Very nice card. I like all the different elements on it. Thanks.

Love the Blog Blitz! and love your fun, joyful card!

Wow, 36 new dies?! Awesome sauce! And this bauble tree is so cute. Love your gorgeous card!

Love this card Jeanne, especially that great shade of pink that appears behind the red "Merry Christmas".

Did you use a sheet of adhesive and cut along the die outline, or did you just apply narrow adhesive, just enough to hold the inserts, and use that double-sided tape to attach it to your background? I've wondered this before, and am sure you know the best way to do this.

It's almost impossible to believe that Dave has designed even more dies. I'm now perfectly convinced he never sleeps.

Sure hope you are getting into cooler weather, and I'm looking forward to the design teams' use of the new products. Toodles for now.

Super card! I know it is called Merry Bauble Tree, but I'm pondering ways to change it up with other colors to use for different occasions.
