To the Moon and Bat
by Michele K. Henderson
Hello Everyone!
The batty season is on it's way as talk of fall and all things spooky are right around the corner! Today I have a colorful spooky card that might be a little more fun than fearful!
I started with a clean purple background against a black card stock base, and added a big, bright moon from the Stitched Circle Layers from Memory Box Open Studio. Then I added the brand new Trim Tree and the Batty Triptych from Poppystamps' newest release!
This little pictorial illustrates a quick tip I use to make my cards pop. I cut the Batty Triptych in two colors, black and grey, and I wanted the entire square, including the thin frame edge to pop off the paper with a foam pop dot. So I cut a third square, in purple from the Shaker Square Frames, and glued the black and grey bat pieces to the purple square. Then I mounted the bat squares in a topsy turvy pattern, and added the Trim Tree and a few spooky sequins. It's an easy card to create with just a few dies!
Thanks for joining us here at Poppystamps today! Check out our current challenge, Shake It Up, and show us your spooky selves!

It is such a cool idea to use the triptych elements as tiles!I have to give it a go! Love the card!
Morning Michele, A 'quirky' spooky card haha, I love the batty triptych and I adore the stitched circle layers dies. A lovely card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Tee, hee, hee. This is just fabulous, including your punny title. This layout is just so innovative. I would have wanted to cut the bats out of the squares, and that would have made the card a yawner. Thanks for opening up my world.
Fabulous card...I love Halloween and this is so perfect!
