Daphne Butterfly. by Pam Simpson

Hi everyone, on my card today I have done a bite of splattering with silver ink and  distressing with white Gesso, just touches you might see.

Card size 7"x 7"finished.  I have used this beautiful "Daphne Butterfly", there is no a solid shape, so I adhered a white cut butterfly to white card and cut around the shape, next I cut one in pink card, adhered both together by the centre body, left the wings to look like they are flying.

 
 I sat this butterfly on the New "Grand Stick Frame"  green outside..white splattered centre.. touch of white Gesso.

Next I cut white card around 5" square, embossed in a folder from my stash, splattered again in silver... I used  pink  die cut "Shaker square" by Memory Box..  Open Studio.

Cut another green "Grand Stick Frame" cut into four pieces, then placed on  the 5" card corners.

Embellished with "Freida Leaf"   Seam binding..stick pins, sentiment taken from Poppystamps "Hope and Thanks" clear stamps, stamped onto "Stitched main Street Tags".. dotted around some small Butterfly Sprinkles in pink.

Morning Pam, Wow !! The colours you have chosen are very pretty, and the dies you have used are gorgeous, I love the Grand Stick Frame, and also using it for the corners, fabulous, and the embossing folder 'marries' beautifully. A stunning card.

This is gorgeous Pam! Thank you for the great inspiration for making the solid butterfly for the Daphne butterfly. The butterfly is at the top of my wishlist, I do wish Poppystamps would release a solid butterfly die for the Daphne.
The stick frame is perfect with the butterfly, it adds an interesting abstract element to the background and then draws the eye to the butterfly. Love it!
