Birthday Balloons
by JJ Bolton
Just stopping in today with a fun birthday card to share! May is a crazy month of birthdays for our family. My twin sons, husband, father, sister, and brother-in-law all have birthdays this WEEK! So this card is very appropriate:) To make this card, I started off by die cutting the stitched square. Then I die cut the "birthday wishes" into the square and inlaid it with a metallic gold version. Just for fun, the square is offset on the card base.
Then I die cut a variety of balloons in different colored vellum and arranged them around and behind the square. Vellum can be tricky to work with, so I try to hide the glue behind card stock pieces or where the vellum overlaps.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fun n Happy card !
Hi JJ, This is a very lovely card, I love the colours of the balloons, and I love how you have got some part of the balloon on the square layer and also underneath the square layer as if they 'carry on', very very effective, and I can't see where your adhesive is at all !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
JJ this is so soft and beautiful with the colored vellum balloons! I love the design! You hid the adhesive very well!
Perfect cheerful birthday card! Love the inlaid sentiment... I HAVE to remember to try that! Happy birthdays to your family!
