Spring Cottage
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello! Can you believe its already April! Me ,either!

For my card today I used this simple Boddington Cottage Die .

I sponged my background  with distressed ink and a sponge dabber. I made a blue panel and then one more

white panel and only sponged the lower part for the grassy hill. Then placed them together. It took some time to add the tree pieces back in but I found it relaxing.

I added Glossy Accents for the windows and a bit of shimmer to the trees with Wink of Stella.

Then later I decided I wanted and oval on the front of the card so I use Memory box Stitched Ovals.

Not sure what one I like best yet.

I have been playing with the Memory box Plush dies, this one is the Plush Spring Bunny and I made his ears flop. He is holding the Plush Flower Buttons. I like to pinch and sew flat things to make them 3d. The flowers remind me of the lemon blossoms and  lime blossoms right outside my craft room . The lime blossoms are just a bit bigger. I posted this little guy on my blog , and thought I would share here too.

Hope you have a great week!

Hi Marybeth, These cards are really beautiful, they look quite easy cards, apart from placing the 'fall aways' back in, you must have lots of patience haha. I love the sponging and colours. These cards look so elegant, I love them.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
