I love butterflies! Have you checked out all the latest additions to the Poppystamps catalog? There are a three dies that feature the "Bellina" style butterflies - they're loopy and feminine. You can see all the Poppystamps butterfly dies here.
Corner dies are really easy to work with and a great addition to your die collection. I made this card by painting two watercolor panels with Peerless Watercolors. I used the same colors on both panels.
Next I cut the Bellina Butterfly corner from a piece of white cardstock, and adhered it to one of the watercolor panels. Inlay the die by adhering it inside the open window.
Stamp a simple sentiment on the panel like this one from "Hope and Thanks". I trimed the panel down and glued some craft foam to the back before attaching it to my card base. This adds a little dimension. Inexpensive sheets of craft foam are great for large panels because you can trim them to size to support the entire panel.
Remember the second watercolor panel we painted? Die cut the Bellina Corner one more time from the watercolor paper. Remove the die cut butterflies and attach them to your cover panel. Everything matches perfectly! The Bellina Corner is great because it's like two dies in one - the corner, and three extra butterflies you can use on other projects!
There are lots of fun looks you can create with this same technique - change the colors or if you don't like to watercolor, consider a glitter background or some pattern paper! Have fun and happy creating!
