Hoppy Day
by JJ Bolton

Is anyone ready for Spring?  We've had over 30 inches of snow here on the East Coast of the US, so I'll take sunshine and green grass (even if it's just in a card;)

I started off my card by stamping and coloring the bunny.  Sometimes, I like to stamp an image multiple times and try out different color schemes.  This time, I did a natural bunny and I did a fun version of a Peter Rabbit bunny.  I used a sharpie to give Peter Rabbit a little blue coat.  This is a really easy way to get more from your stamps:)

Then I started on the background scene.  I knew I wanted a Spring landscape, so I started off with some reverse cut clouds.  I use Post-It tape on a roll to get perfect placement of my dies when I cut them.  The sky background and grass are cut from watercolor paper and blended with ink.  I didn't want any texture on the fence or inside the clouds, so those pieces are just white card stock.

All that was left to do was assemble the layers and stamp the sentiment!  Placing the sentiment can get a bit tricky with scene cards like this, so I decided to stamp the sentiment inside the cloud.  That way it doesn't get lost in all the other details.

That's it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
