Glittery Goodness
by Sue McRae

Welcome everyone! This is my last post for this year and I thought I would finish with some glittery goodness.

I normally don't use a lot of glitter on my projects but this time of the year just calls for it, don't you think? I pulled out my Glitter Ritz for this card, it has the best sparkle power out there!

I used the Retro Ornaments for my base in Fire Red glitter and the Basilica Ornament in Poppy Orange for the top layer. The string and bow are from the String Ornament die and  and for my branch I used the Massa Leaf Background in Sweet Basil glitter.

I wanted a really clean backdrop for all that sparkle so I embossed the Merry Christmas Background die into the card stock instead of die cutting it. A technique I think I should use more often!

Thanks for visiting with me today and I wish everyone a most joyous holiday season! See you in the New Year!

Hi Sue, I definitely agree, we do need glitter at this time of year, to be honest I put glitter on most of my cards haha (apart from male ones, and I'm still tempted hahaha). A beautiful card, thank you, and I hope your Christmas and New Year are fabulous.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Beautiful! Yes, this card is made perfect with glitter! Love it!!

Beautiful! The embossed background is a clever way to add the sentiment without making the card too busy!

Beautifully done, Sue! Love the embossed background that makes the ornament pop!

So gorgeous!! The background is wonderful, I suppose it's called 'debossing' cause the design is press inward? The glittered branch and ornament are the perfect holiday icons!!

Sue this is absoultly gorgeous ! Love the white dry embossed background and the glitter paper! ,Merry Christmas!
