I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, what about you? Whenever I use any of these beautiful home dies from the new release, I always think about Alpine villages up in the mountains, and tiny European winter enclaves! Winter has arrived early for the Forest Village. I cut the ribbons off the Snowflake Ribbon and mounted just the snowflake onto the card with a tiny foam pop dot I cut with a paper punch. I like the way this pretty snowflake floats right off the page! The smaller snowflake is the largest flake from the Valley Snowflakes.
I used the Blizzard Corner to create the pretty detail up in the corner on the right. The tricky part was adding the background panels to the homes and rooftops, trimming millimeter by millimeter in order to get the tiny pieces right where I needed them.
I then cut out the Forest Village from the white panel I used for the Blizzard Corner, making a window for the Village I made with the windows and rooftops. When I inserted that Village into the panel, all the trees magically turned blue! It reminds me of those early morning days in Wisconsin, waking up to an icy white coating of frost over all the trees, in my tiny frosty village.
The Forest Village would be a great die to use in our current monthly challenge, Home for the Holidays! Have you entered your card yet? Get all the details from the challenge badge on the right.
