Falling For You
by Jeanne Jachna
Turkey day is almost here, and I will admit it feels strange to celebrate Thanksgiving when there is snow on the ground... but in my crafty space it can be whatever time of year I like - and since I still have colorful leaves on my mind I can share them with you! Today I'm playing with the Falling for You clear stamps set with coordinating dies. These two designs really show off the versatility of the set because I mainly used the "accent" pieces from the set as the focal point.
This one was hard to photograph because it's mostly white - but if you look close you can see I added some score lines to the cover panel just above and below the "be thankful" sentiment. This is an easy way to add texture and dimension to a project.
The images were easy to stamp, color and then die cut with the coordinating dies. The dies are window cuts so they are easy to align.
For my second card I drew a one inch circle on my cover panel and then stamped leaves around the circle. To hide the pencil line I die cut the squirrel image in a circle shape. When I place it over the leaves it hides the circle I drew so no one ever sees it. I added a few dots of red with a marker for berries.
The cover panel is attached to the card base with a sheet of craft foam in between. This adds dimension to the card making this clean and simple design look more layered.
I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Wonderful cards:D
These are both wonderful! I like the added score lines on the first card. Something I need to try more often. The second card is so sweet as well! I love the little wreath of leaves and cute little squirrel pop up!!
