Aperture with a swing bauble.
by Pam Simpson
Hi everyone Pam here..
Aperture card with a swing bauble!. card size 5 1/2" x 6"
I keep being asked, how I cut an aperture in a card and add a frame.. A set of 4 photos as I did not want to fill the blog post with photos.
Top left..Main card folded in half, these are the dies I want to use for my aperture in the card and my frame.
These are the largest sizes from Poppystamps . Stitch Main street tags. I placed both where I wanted the cut out to be..Take away the largest die.
Top right. cut your aperture..
Bottom left this is how the cut out looks..
Bottom Right.. Backing paper for the front of my card, with my frame cut with the same dies as picture top left.
This photo shows How I laid my backing paper inside the card, placed the smallest die back in the cut out, then draw a line in pencil around, next use you die to cut this out. ready to decorate for the card front and white frame added.
My blue paper has been stamped with Open Studio. "Cabin Pine Tree" cling stamp CS2218H and heat embossed white embossing powder.
Mix of Blooming small and large Poinsettias... leaves..net and ribbon. Inked with distress ink. Tumbled Glass & Broken China, berries.. white Gesso..
Bauble is suspended with thick thread, this has been adheard between two solid die cuts and under the floral arrangement.
Thank you for stopping by, Pam x
