Fresh and Flaky
by Michele K. Henderson

As the bright oranges of Halloween begin to fade away, our card making fancies turn to something fresh and flaky, green boughs and snow flakes!

I've been thinking about some fresh Christmas and holiday card ideas for a few days now, as I start to prepare my materials for a big card drive I participate in every year. I wanted to design a card that would lie flat, look lush and full in a small A2 card envelope, and could be put together with only a few die cuts. That's when I came up with Fresh and Flaky!

I used the very pretty Snowflake Oval Frame, and added two cuts of Verona Flourish at the top, and a few more cuts of Holly Leaves and Berries at the bottom. A Cheery Cardinal or two and it's finished! Just look at the gorgeous stitched detail in those leaves!

This card only took a few minutes to make, and it turned out great! Today I wanted to share an idea for a quick and easy card, without bling, sequins, or glitter (for our military families) that will lie flat and look detailed and complete. Mission accomplished! A card made "on the double" can look like it took you all day, thanks to these pretty winter frames and flakes from Poppystamps!

Thanks for joining us today!

Very pretty, Michele! The frame is so delicate & lovely. And of course, I love the birdies!

Morning Michele, A lovely bright and uplifting card, I especially love the snowflake oval frame, and the beautiful cardinals. Although I would definitely have to put 'glitter' on mine hahaha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
