Exquisite Branch Frame by Sue McRae

Welcome to another day of our blog blitz. I'm using the new Exquisite Branch Frame for an acetate Christmas card.

I die cut the frame from white card stock, masked off the edges and used Distress Inks in shades of green to colour the tree. I added glue to the leaves and sprinkled on some Prismacolour Glitter and adhered the frame to the front of an acetate note card.

For the inside panel I took white card stock and coloured it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. After it was dry I placed the Memory Box Starry Nights Stencil on top and used a dauber to add Versamark ink to the stars. Then I added clear glitter embossing powder and heat set it. I finished off by inking up the Free Hand Merry Christmas sentiment in shades of blue.

I don't make acetate cards very often but I love how this turned out with the sparkly stars peeking out from behind the branches of the tree. The only problem I had was getting decent photos of the card!

I don't usually do acetate cards either but after seeing you inspirational card I shall try it out. Love the colours and the whole idea of your card.Such a pretty and effective card x

Pretty card and the pic showed up just fine. I pulled out my acetate yesterday to try and use it on a Get Well card...now I know what I'm going to do with it. Thanks for the idea.
