Little Pink Houses...
for you and me! I couldn't get the John Mellencamp song Pink Houses out of my head while making this card. I'm not sure how many of you know the song...I guess it kind of dates me! Eek!
This card is all about watercolour. I don't know about you but I've been on a watercolour kick for some time. Whether it's using Distress Inks, watercolour paint, markers or other medium I love the unexpected outcome of using them for watercolouring.
I used watercolour paint and Inktense Pencils for the grass.
For the houses Distress Inks.
And for the sky, Distress Inks. I also used Pearlescent Embossing Paste with the new Memory Box Mini Clouds Stencil. I applied the paste unevenly so that some clouds are thinner and some thicker, it adds more interest and I love the pearly shine!
Using the new A Fox Tale Set I stamped the balloon twice onto scrap watercolour paper, cut it out and added some string to attach them to the house.
I finished off with a sentiment from the Into the Words set. You know Poppystamps makes photopolymer stamps now, right? If you didn't go check them out here!
Thanks for stopping by to visit today! I'd also like to remind you of the masculine challenge that is going on right now. Check out all the details here.
