Just like this Patient Pup (1208), I've been waiting to show you my card. Isn't this little pup a cutie, and he reminds me of my son's two. Although I must say this pup is much more patient than one of my grand-dogs. I think sitting him on a small patch of Fresh Cut Grass(1016) anchors him well to this card. I added a bit of bakers twine for his collar and he is ready to say hello!
Today is Release Day and you know that when Poppystamps releases new dies there is a Blitz and the Design Team is ready to spring into action.....Jeanne kicked off the Blitz this morning. If you haven't seen her post, you will want to check it out, as always she's created a beauty!....Don't tell, but there are ...shhhh....p-r-i-z-e-s, and she will tell you how you could be lucky enough to win. I will tell you....It's easy to win....all you have to do is leave a comment. The design team will have two posts per day and each post will feature a die from this New and Exciting Release. I'm gifting the Patient Pup. Isn't he the sweetest? I think so!
I always try to take a picture of the process I used to create a card....well, I was having such fun creating that I only took one photo...After I glued everything in place I remembered...so, here is the one photo....
I held the Texture Dot Grid (Memory Box 88600) in place. I didn't use stencil spray this time and it worked well. I like having dark and light stenciled spots. I think it adds interest. Then I layered my pieces onto the stenciled base and glued the piece to the front of the card.
I think the new Dog Paw Border (1209) adds the perfect little pop to this card. I layered the border onto a scrap of orange and I punched the edge to add a bit more interest. I die cut the Fancy Hello (1107) using the same orange card stock.
If you know me, you know the card isn't finished until the inside is completed. So, here's what I did to the inside....
Another bit of stenciled card stock, this time to hold a little note and a pocket made from the new Cat Paw Border (1203). I never glue the pieces into the pocket. I think it gives the receiver of the card a chance to recycle by adding a note and sending the card on to a friend.
Don't forget, you could win one of the new dies or stamps from this sweet release....but you can't win if you don't comment....I hope you like my little card, it was fun and super easy! Leave me a comment by April 28th and you just might be the winner of this Patient Pup!
There will be lots going on in our Poppystamps world, so check back often!
Hugs from my world to yours!
