It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Easter!
I couldn't help myself, I caught myself singing, "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Easter", I know a bit of a seasonal change to that song. I guess you could say, this card was inspired by an egg. And it's quite an egg. I think the Ribbon and Bow Egg is quite spectacular....And can be decorated in tons of ways. I guess I should start at the beginning.....
I stenciled my background using a Memory Box stencil and Distress Ink. To hold the stencil in place, I sprayed the back with stencil spray, which makes it super easy to rub on the ink. The next photo will show you the cut pieces I used for the background of this card.
To get the dotted card stock, I used an embossing folder and inked the dots. I die cut the egg twice, once using the dotted card stock and once using a glittered card stock. Then I glued the pieces onto the Egg Cetera die piece. I created the inside sentiment on my computer and then cut these pieces.
I had a piece of ribbon laying on my desk and wondered what it would look like woven through the pickets of the fence. I liked it. After cutting the Fresh Cut Grass die, also from glittered card stock, I looked at the piece remaining and had a giggle moment....Why not use the negative piece too. So, that's the grass you see on the inside of the card. Waste not, want not you know! The tiny eggs are part of the Egg Cetera die, you get three sizes of eggs. Pretty smart I think! The tiny basket is from the Country Baskets die. and it fit perfectly in the Chocolate Bunny's paws. A little glue and this card is ready for delivery.
Want to see the inside?
I hope you enjoyed my little Easter card and I hope it got you singing.
