Waiting For Santa
As we get closer and closer to Christmas, it always brings up such special memories of being a child and the anticipation of Santa Claus on Christmas eve. This card has all the warmth and coziness of that special night.
I started by cutting the dark green rectangle just a bit smaller than my A2 card base. I adhered that with foam tape. Next I cut out a small yellow rectangle and sponged some distress ink on it to look like the inside of the fireplace and glued that down flat. Next, I added the fire place and mantle piece with some foam tape, then I built the warm cozy fire insde :)
I then added the strip of gingham to the bottom for a border, and I added another of the mantle pieces to the bottom of the fireplace as well. Next, I added the row of trees along the top and, the greenery across the mantle. I decorated the greenery with some snowflakes and added the cute little stockings. I used some little scraps of patterned paper for the heels and toes of the stockings. I didn't add a sentiment to this card, as there really wasn't enough room and I thought it spoke volumes without one :)
