It's that time of year again when the season seems to sparkle and shine, and we find bits of glitter happily scattered everywhere! I made a little blue holiday forest that reminds me of those old fashioned country tree farms filled with blue spruce, white pine and green boughs of pine branches!
To create this card, I started with a piece of white card stock base, then cut a smaller top panel out of blue glitter paper. I then cut a piece of white polka-dot vellum the same size of the glitter paper and cut the Merry Christmas Background out of the vellum. It gives the card a lovely blue tint and the polka dots look like snowflakes! I then added layers of glitter blue Evergreen Trees with a few pop dots, and Pine Sprigs in shades of green glitter. I used snowy white glitter paper for the Celestial Star Border and the Peace tag from the Peace, Love and Joy Tags, one of my all-time favorite Poppytamps dies! To make the little holly sprig embellishment, I cut two tiny leaves from An Apple A Day, and added tiny red berries from a hand held hole punch.Voila! Like magic, a very sparkly holidy card appears!
