A Summery Thank You

Good morning!  Sherry Hester here with a springy-summery card for you.  I was in kind of a green-and-yellow mood and wanted to do something a little different with the dies today.

Thank You - Yellow Flower

I used the Memory Box Honeycomb stencil for the background, sponging the green ink very softly onto a piece of white card stock. I used the smallest flower from the Blooming Poinsettia die set and the largest and smallest flowers and center from the Small Blooming Poinsettia set to build the summery flower. I cut the Thicket Wreath into two pieces from dark green and vellum card stock, and arranged as shown, then made a banner using the “Thank You Very Much” stamp.  After adhering everything, I squiggled some ink onto an acrylic block, and using a very wet paint brush, picked up some color and splattered it onto the background.  I’m very much into splattering these days!  Once that was finished, I used mounting tape on the back to adhere it to the white card base.  I had great fun creating this card and hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by!

This is gorgeous. The honeycomb background in the soft green is perfect for the foliage and flower. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

Glad we can access our blog again, wouldn't have want to miss out on your fabulous card here Sherry!

Beautiful card. The honeycomb background is perfect for the thicket wreath. Using part of the wreath is a great design element. The spattering is the perfect layering detail. Great creative use of the poinsettia. This would also make a beautiful Christmas card. Thank you for sharing today.
