Have you seen our new shutters dies? Check this out!
Happy weekend to all of you! Have you been out enjoying the sunshine? Spring is in full swing for most of us by now. It's really hard to believe it's almost April. Wow. Today I had to share a card using the brand new Madison Window Shutters! If you have either of our Madison Window Dies, then you simply must have the shutters to match. There is a small version and a larger version. Check them out in our store or at your favorite local stamp store. LOVE.
When I think of shutters I always think of traditional white windows with slate grey shutters, so that's exactly what I made. This littel scene is perfect for early Spring, before everything is in bloom. It was such fun to piece all of these elements together.
Here are all the supplies I used to make the card - wonderful dies from both Poppystamps and Memory Box and some of our new Memory Box stamps. Full supply list is at the bottom of the post.
The branch is actually a dark brown - but in the photo is looks black. I thought it added a crisp contrast to the lighter colors.
The shutters and the bird were popped up with some foam tape. I stamped the Mercer Rose Background in a light grey to look like wallpaper inside the home. I mounted the paper to the back of the window, before placing it on my card.
Have any of you made things with the new shutters yet? We would love to see what you've made! Feel free to post on our Poppystamps facebook page and share your projects!
