Merry Christmas
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there ! I hope you are enjoying the Poppystamps Blog Blitz !

As soon as the new dies came back in July I sat down to make this shaker card just for fun , I liked it so much I thought I should use it for the blog blitz!

My top layer is watercolor paper to add a bit of texture. I added a layer of acetate under the second layer of paper, then added glass beads for the shaker.

I cut the word Merry, from the new Merry Frame and the word Christmas, from the new Christmas frame. I love that I now have an easy "Merry Christmas" sentiment to add to any of my Christmas cards. I sure need to get busy , I usually have about half  of my Christmas cards completed  by now.

So many new stamps and be beautiful new Holiday dies to choose from this summer. No need to wait till the last minute.

Swaying Birch and Urban Skyline
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello, Marybeth here today!  I hope your week is off to a good start!

I have a... simple to make card... for you today.

Fullsizeoutput_570 Watermark copy

I used Poppystamps dies: Swaying Birch, Bravern Branch and Urban Skyline Collage.

Will a few simple steps you can have a clean look with a bit of detail ! My kinda card :)

This is what the back side of the card looks like. Simply add some foam tape to the back then place on the panel of your choice.

I cut two Bravern Branches, cut them apart, then placed them where I wanted to add leaves to the Swaying Birch die.

Fullsizeoutput_574 Watermark copy

Simple, right!  Last minute I did change the design a bit by placing the skyline die more to the right of the card so that I had more room for the leaves on the tree.

Thank you for the visit today!

Spring Blog Blitz | Snowy Mountaintops
by Jinny Newlin

Hey, y'all!  It's Jinny here today, and I'm super excited to be sharing a few new goodies from our Spring 2017 Release, all wrapped up in my brother's birthday card.  Enjoy!

Poppy Happy Birthday - JinnyNewlin

I started this card by die-cutting all the scenery bits and pieces, including Stitched Cloudline, Snowy Mountaintops, and Pretty Flowers, from watercolor paper; watercoloring each one to reflect its place in the scene; and piecing them all together, before splattering them with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  Once it was dry, I die-cut the snowy specks on the mountaintops from white, glitter paper and pieced them right into the openings on the mountains.  I so wish you could see that glitter better.

I then die-cut the Happy Birthday Streamer from Basic Black cardstock; applied it to the center of the scene; and added interest with Glossy Accents...

before anchoring everything, to the white, cardstock, card face, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, to complete the look.

Be sure to stop back by every day through next Friday, March 17, 2017, to see what my talented teammies have cooked up, using all the new goodies, just for your viewing pleasure.  AND don't forget to leave lots of love as you visit; because a new, Spring Release product is being randomly given away on EACH AND EVERY Poppystamps' blog post.  You have until Tuesday, March 21, 2017, to do so.  Winners will be announced right here, on the Poppystamps blog, the following Saturday, March, 25, 2017.  I've got that fabulous Snowy Mountaintops craft die, that you see in action above, to giveaway today.

That's it, from me, for today; but there truly is so much left to see.  You simply don't want to miss out.  Have fun, and good luck with ALL the glorious prizes, Poppystamps friends!  Hugs!

Snowy Hillside
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello! I hope you are all enjoying a nice weekend. Its still on the warm side here in CA but a least it cools

down in the evening.  I altered the Poppystamps Merry Christmas tag so that I could just use the sentiment

for this card. I do see that I forgot to add the dot for the i.

The Everygreen Hillside die is layered 3 times and behind it is some thick vellum. I thinly spread

glue and then added chunky glitter. I just sorta eyeballed cutting the vellum to fit behind the hills.

I hope you like this Hillside and Merry Christmas die as much as I do.

Thank you for all the sweet comments you leave when it’s my turn to post, I do read and appreciate them all!

Have a blessed week!

Merry and Bright
by Jinny Newlin

Morning, y'all!  It's Jinny here today, sharing a card, boasting a colorful winter background, created with Distress Inks.

Poppy - Merry & Bright - JinnyNewlin
I started this card by inking a piece of white cardstock, from bottom to top, with Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord, Tumbled Glass, and Faded Jeans Distress Inks, blending each layer of color into the next.  I then grounded the colors with die-cut, from more white cardstock, Stitched Hills.  The "may your days be MERRY and BRIGHT" sentiment was white-embossed just above those hills, near the right edge of the prepped piece...

10.10.16 010
before creating the rest of the winter scene.  The Trim Tree and Prancing Deer were die-cut from Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar cardstocks respectively; and one of the deer was dressed up with a simple, red, gemstone nose.

10.10.16 014
I then splattered everything with Titanium White acrylic paint and couldn't resist covering those snowy hills in glitter.  Once everything was dry, I anchored the entire piece, to a white, cardstock, card face, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching and wrapped up its top edge with a length of Baker's Twine, tied in a bow.

10.10.16 015
Thanks so much for humbling us with a visit!  Be blessed!

Winter scene
by Ilona Zbieg

Hi Poppystamps fans.

Today I prepared a delicate card with winter scene.  First I cut a circle of white paper, inside a circle I cut winter scene. Second circle I cut in  glitter paper, next I glued them under the white one. For a scene I added two small deer in white color.

Thus prepared circle I glued at the center of paper, on a blue background.

At the bottom of the card I put two-colored sleigh.  Because I wanted to make my card delicate pastel color, I cut poinsettia of white foam, not traditionally red.

The whole I embellished with silver sequins.

Thanks for joining us today!

Wishing You a Merry Christmas
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Welcome to Poppystamps and Our Mini Blog Blitz! New dies! Yay!

I am showcasing the small fluffy tree for you today. I used some sticky paper and applied some ultra fine glitter to it and then cut out my tree pieces. I love creating scenes with Poppy Dies. I could see making a whole card full of these lovely trees or even just showcasing one by itself with maybe some ornaments or berries on it.

I brought in the Pop of red and added a little sticker to one deers nose.

The snow drifts were cut using glittered felt. which added some deminsion to the card.

Oh  I almost forgot.. Would you like to win the small fluffy tree die? If so, just leave a comment here on this post!

Winter scenery
by Ilona Zbieg

Hi there,
Today I would like to invite you on the winter journey.

This winter wonderland was made with the newest Popystamps dies (house and lamp) and Memory Box stencil (forest).

Firstly I mixed structural paste with blue pearl paint.

I placed stencil on the card and spread my mix inside that.

Simple trick but effect is quite amazing.

I used the same die (Merry Christmas) to cut letters (light mint color) and place for them (white paper) and then I just stuck letters inside.
On top of that I added lamp and house which are made of few layers to get that 3D effect.

Finally I added some snow using a snow marker and there you go :-) lovely cold-winter card is ready.

Thank you so much for stoping by today!

Have a good day!
