Foliage Frame
by Jeanne Jachna

 Foliage-Frame-Six
It's a cold, windy, wet day here in the midwest so I thought I'd make my own sunshine!  I had lots of fun making this distressed card!  I love how a simple die cut from white card stock just pops on a colored background.   Want to make one of your own?
Foliage-Frame-Nine
I cut the Heart Pattern Plate from watercolor paper.  Next I inked it up with distress inks in  pastel colors (Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender.
Foliage-Frame
If you're happy with the inky blending you can stop here but I thought I'd kick it up a notch (LOL!).
Foliage-Frame-One
I splashed the background with water, let the distress ink soften and blotted up the water with a paper napkin.
Foliage-Frame-Two
I trimmed this panel slightly smaller than my A2 card base and noticed I was starting to loose some of the pieces (you can see a missing piece above)
Foliage-Frame-Three
I should have added a piece of tape to the back to hold everything in place before I started cutting.   Now you can do better than me when you try this!
Foliage-Frame-Seven
I adhered the Massa Leaf Frame to the front of the card inserting the die cut window in place, and added some Stitched Bloom Trio Flowers.
Foliage-frame-Eight
I double cut the Scribble Hello sentiment from gold glitter and gold foil papers and layered them so you would see just a silhouette of sparkle.
Foliage-Frame-Five
The finishing touch was a sprinkle of sequins in gold to match the Scribble Hello sentiment, and some pearls for the Stitched Bloom Trio flower centers.
Foliage-Frame-Four
I hope you find some quiet time to create today!

Hello again! Hope you are enjoying all the new Poppystamps products and wonderful design team cards!

I used the Freida Curve Die along with the Dotted Curve Die and Grateful Hearts stamp.

IMG_5945

Not a very pretty picture but I wanted  to give you an idea of how I cut my layers.

The upper part of the paper is not relevant to the cut ( just a scrap piece of paper) You don't have to have both dies but the extra Dotted Curve Die gives you a few more options.

You can leave the dots in place if you want like on my first blog blitz card or have them out like this card,

it's your choice. If you want to keep the dots in ,  just add some tape to the back of your card to keep them in place .

I added two layers of the cut die, added a some sequins, the panel is raised with fun foam.

So if you would like a chance to win the Freida Curve die, just leave a comment.

Thank you so much for the visit today! God Bless!

I used my Peerless Watercolors from Birch Press Design, love these watercolors for a rich vibrant color! I wanted the background to be my focal point so I added the Freida Curve in white only .

It is lightly stamped in a softer color ink, using a sentiment from the new Grateful Hearts Clear Stamp from Poppystamps

I wanted to show you what the front side of the panel looked like, much soother but for some reason I like the way the back looked with more of an outline of each cut.

Hope you like it and don't forget to comment for a chance to win the Heart Pattern Plate!

Playful Deer Collage - Blog Blitz Begins!!
by Jeanne Jachna

  True-Love-Four

Thanks for stopping by!  You picked a great day for a visit!  We're beginning our BLOG BLITZ today!  This is an event where we show you projects made with the new release and gift you with a prize on every single post!   This week we're showing Valentines!   There's lots of heart dies to share, and a stamp set too!
True-Love-Two
Who says Valentines need to be pink or red?  I make cards for friends and family, and tags for treats for school and work.  I don't always want a card that is overly feminine or too heavy on the lovey dovey! LOL  I made this card for my DH.  We love to go walking together so these Playful Deer were just the ticket.
True-Love-One
I topped the PLAYFUL DEER COLLAGE with the FOLIUM FRAME.  The different shades of green card stock add to the look of foliage - allowing us to peek in at this private woodland scene.  Behind the  PLAYFUL DEER COLLAGE is a PEERELESS WATERCOLOR panel.
True-Love-Five
I added a few TINY BIRDS AND BRANCHES for more detail in framing the scene.  The white hearts are cut from the new HEART SCREEN.  You'll want to save all the little heart cut outs when you use the outline image.
True-Love-Three
The sentiment is from a new stamp set called GRATEFUL HEARTS .  YES!  It does have a coordinating die cut set!
True-Love
OK.. now for the part you've been waiting for!  The prize for today's post is the PLAYFUL DEER COLLAGE.

1696 Playful Deer Collage craft die

Let me fill you in on all the details ok?

The blog blitz runs  from January 9-January 23, 2017.  We'll be giving  away a prize on every post during this time.   Most days we'll have 2 posts so check back often!
To enter to win you need to leave a comment on EACH of the posts that you wish to enter.   One person will be chosen at random from each of the posts during the blog blitz.

Only one prize per person per blog blitz. We use random number generator to select winners from comments.

You have until midnight US EST January 25  to leave a comment on each and every post that you want to enter. Winners will announced on this blog on January 28.

Good Luck!

I cut down the Heart Pattern Plate , then layered the Floral Stem Collage on top twice, I have one slightly to the side of the first one.

The top layer of the flower is embossed with the extra layer that comes with the die.

I added fun foam under my top green panel.

Warm Christmas Wishes
by Jinny Newlin

Morning, y'all!  It's Jinny here today, sharing a card, boasting a paper door all dressed up for the holidays.  So, let's get right to it.

Poppystamps Warm Christmas Wishes - JinnyNewlin

I started this card by embossing vertical grooves, into a wide strip of Oatmeal cardstock, to resemble bead-board and topping it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  A strip of vellum, stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "WARM CHRISTMAS WISHES" sentiment was carefully held in place near the bottom of the prepped piece, as all three paper bits were then anchored, onto a white, cardstock, card face, with brown-threaded, straight, machine stitches and their edges distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks.

11.14.16 045

The door was Cameo-cut from Crumb Cake cardstock; distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, as well as a little, Titanium White acrylic paint; backed with a piece of white cardstock, which had been coated with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks, rubbed through the Winter Scattered Flakes stencil; and adhered, tucked under the vellum, sentiment strip, in the center of the card face.  Our Home for the Holidays Wreath was then die-cut from Garden Green, Ruby Red, Certainly Celery, and Ballet Slippers cardstocks, as well as vellum, and stacked one on top of the other, while tucking each limb, leaf, and berry into the other, until it was full and fluffy and perfectly fit to hang on the door.  I also weaved in a few Always Artichoke, cardstock, Pine Twig die cuts.

11.14.16 049

It was then topped with a length of white, seam binding ribbon, tied in a double bow, and embellished with a lone pearl, backed with a Baker's Twine bow, to complete the look.

11.14.16 056

Thanks so much for humbling us with a visit, Poppystamps friends!  Be blessed!

Give Thanks
by Jinny Newlin

Morning, friends!  It's Jinny here today, sharing a pretty, autumn, watercolor creation.  Enjoy!

Poppystamps Give Thanks - JinnyNewlin

I started this card by watercoloring a piece of watercolor paper in shades of yellow and purple and splattering it with those same colors.  I then used both the Fall Leaf Collage and Majestic Maple dies to die-cut a number of maple leaves from the dried print; secured them, some with foam tape, as seen below, to the Oatmeal, cardstock, card face, which had its top left corner rounded; and splattered them with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.

11.14.16 066

A strip of Elegant Eggplant cardstock was then anchored, along the right side of the card face, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitches and topped with the "give thanks" sentiment, which was die-cut, from gold cardstock, with our Give Thanks Brushed die to complete the look.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a terrific Tuesday, friends!

Wirework Ornament
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with a clean and simple holiday card.

P1340479c

To start off my design I die cut two Pine Twigs from white card stock. I covered one twig with Versamark, sprinkled on green metallic embossing powder and heat set. I did the same for the second twig but used brass embossing powder and I over heated the embossing powder until it got all bubbly. This added a rough look to the twig instead of a smooth look like on the green one.

P1340498c

I die cut the Wirework Ornament and Retro Ornament from glitter card stock and also used the hanging part of the String Ornament die to attach the ornament to the twig.

I felt the background was a little plain so before assembling my card I randomly scored lines on the card stock from the back side so that the raised lines would be on the front of the card. I just made sure to leave myself enough space to stamp the sentiment.

P1340507c

This is a quick project to pull together and would be great for mass producing. Just changing the colour of the ornament would give you a totally different look.

Thanks for stopping by today!
