Meet the Poppy Stamps Design Team

Jeanne Jachna

A Kept Life

I’m a married, stay at home mom of two teenagers, and one very active Akita puppy. I live in Northwest Indiana near Chicago. My hobbies include reading, gardening, and cooking, but my obsession is paper crafting. I have been crafting for as long as I remember, trying everything from candlewicking and leaded glass, to jewelry and crochet. I can’t resist a new set of stamps, bling, big bows and a rainbow of colorful ink and paper. My time crafting is a sweet escape and a fun way to express myself. I have been impressed by the talented designers I've met through blogging and touched by their kindness. I am excited to be a member of the Poppy Stamps Design Team and can't wait to share my love of paper crafting with you.

Jennifer Svare

Jen's Craft Room

Hi!  My name is Jennifer Svare, and I live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with my wonderful husband of 22 years.  We have two daughters: one who is grown and married to a fantastic son-in-law, and the youngest is 16. We love our Golden/Akita puppy named Baloo, PomChi named Chewy, and cat named Sushi (who also loves paper crafting). Working with paper crafts is so much fun to me, because there is simply no end to the creative techniques to learn, share, and discover! I am so honored and thrilled to be a part of this fabulous design team and I hope to inspire others as much as they and Poppystamps dies have inspired me to embrace creativity – most of all, it’s fun

Soaring

My family and I live in a small suburb of Kansas City, Kansas, just over an hour and a half north of where I grew up.  I am a former kindergarten teacher turned adoring wife, of 15 years, to BJ and stay-at-home, homeschool mom to Ezekiel (13), Adina (7), and Kaden (2).  When I’m not taking care of or playing with my family, you can find me cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, taking pictures, blogging at Soaring, and of course, paper crafting.  My love for the latter started, over fourteen years ago, at a Stampin’ Up workshop; but I have been creating with any and every form of crafting media that I could get my hands on, since I was old enough to hold a crayon.  I’ve been honored to have had a number of published works of art, as well as to get to design for some of my most favorite manufacturers and challenge blogs, and am just thrilled to have the privilege of joining the Poppystamps Design Team!  I hope that I can inspire you all to get creating.

My name is Lezlye, and I reside in the beautiful county of El Dorado in Northern California. I have been Rubber Stamping since high school, and started to dabble in scrapping then too. It wasn’t until my daughter turned 5 that scrapbooking took over. I now rotate between any and all paper crafts! I have been married for 27 years and have 3 children. I have a Yorkshire terrier named Daizy Bell, she can be found sitting at my feet while I work.

Hi, my name is Marybeth Lopez, I was born and raised in California. I am a wife, mother of 4 grown children (3 daughters and 1 son), and grandmother to 12. I am also one of seven Mary’s (all my sisters) (and 2 brothers). All our names begin with Mary and its one word. I love all paper crafts, gardening, crochet, cross stitch, holiday decorating, and baking. We live at the foothills of Rancho Cucamonga, California with our German Shepard: Major….So the nest is not quite empty yet. He is one amazing life guard when the grandkids come swimming.

I love to work with layers of color, paper and texture. Hand-crafted paper artistry is my specialty, so becoming part of the Poppystamps design team and working with this talented group is a dream come true. When I am not in my home studio, you can find my husband and I traveling around the world, enjoying Southern barbecue, and cheering on our home team and alma mater, The University of Alabama, where I have recently completed my M.A. in Visual Communication! Roll Tide! Live your life in Color!

Artful Notions

Hi, My name is Nancy Penir, and I'm thrilled to join the Poppy Design Team! I'm a wife, mother, and grandma to 11 joys of my life! We live on 2 1/2 acres in California's Central Valley, and I love watching things grow. We are currently raising 15 chickens, 5 rabbits, 3 cats, 2 ducks and 30 koi, a fruit orchard and a garden full ofveggies. I love to sew, draw, paint, and have been fortunate to make a living doing the things I loved. Oh yes, and I love all things paper! Cards, mostly, but have made some memory albums too. It's like Christmas when a new order of stamps and dies arrives. Inking up a new set and joining in on challenges is a way to be connected to some of the greatest most talented people on God's earth!

Building Your World

My name is Olga and I am from Ukraine where I live with my dear husband, our three wonderful children and a dachshund. I have always been attracted to visual arts and I have been crafting since five, but paper art became a revelation to me. I like using different techniques, but die cutting is surely my favorite. It is also a great pleasure to realize there are so many talented crafters around the world and I am happy to be the part of this community.

Pam Simpson

pamscrafts

My name is Pam Simpson I live in South Yorkshire. England with my husband of 49 years. We have two grown up married adults, they left the nest 25 years ago. They have given us four grown up amazing Grandchildren. As a stay at home wife and mum, I’ve always had hobbies - sewing, knitting, and for 10 years, card crafting. Since finding cutting dies, my passion, I craft every day I can. I love to cut a die shape from card stock and make a card design around this.
I’m honored and excited to be joining Poppy Stamps design team and sharing my love of card making with you.

Hi! I am a Mexican art and computer teacher, professional, wife and mother of 2: Hassive & Alberto, I call them My Tattishos hehehe:)))
My passion for art includes painting, drawing, music, photography and of course scrapbooking and card making.
Taking pictures is something I’ve enjoyed since I was a little girl (and even today). I am the photographer of the family .... If my lens does not capture what my eye sees and feels, then the picture is not right.
I’ve always been a scrapper, without knowing it was really scrapbooking. All my life I had a diary, and that's where I "practiced" my craft with materials that my mother gave me such as little buttons, pins, bits of cloth, etc.
I love to create and capture great moments of my life in my scrapping work... People say that my style is characterized by a number of techniques and details that I apply on my cards and pages.... I love to make cards too. Kisses for all:)

My Cluttered Corner

In another life, I was a corporate attorney, living and working in San Francisco. My husband Scott and I moved to the East Valley outside of Phoenix in 20015 and I became a stay at home mom. To save my sanity and make a baby book for our newborn daughter, I started scrapbooking at that time. Our son was born in 2007. We still live here, in the Valley of the Sun, and have added two Labrador/Weimaraner puppies to our family. Soon after I found that I could use all my scrapbooking supplies to create cards too and a new obsession was born! I’ve had the honor of having my work published in various print and online publications and I’ve served on multiple design teams. Other than paper crafting, I love to read fiction, watch original Netflix series, go to the gym and spend time outside with my family.

Facebook

Hi, my name is Robin and I am honored and excited (VERY) to be on the Poppy Stamps Design Team! I am a California native and live about 10 minutes from Disneyland with my husband, Randy. We have three rescue cats, LaRue, Ruger and Panzer who enjoy helping(?) me in my craft room.

I worked in the photographic field for over 32 years, then became a personal trainer but I have always had some type of craft going on in my life. I began crafting at an early age when I taught myself to crochet, then on to sewing, needlepoint, leaded glass, ceramics, quilting....AND then paper crafting! My paper crafting addiction started about 5 years ago when I walked into my local craft shop and saw someone demonstrating a machine called a Big Shot; I was hooked!!!  I ordered a Big Shot that day and bought about 15 dies, just to get started and see if I liked this new (to me) craft. I have never looked back!  I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this talented team and to share my love of paper crafting with you.
