May Release Blog Blitz - Large Poised Faerie
by Jeanne Jeanne

  Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Three
What a great day for a visit!  We've got a brand new May release to share and that means we're having a blog blitz!  What's a blog blitz?  Well that means we've blocked out dates to focus on the new release, sharing projects made specifically with the new products, and offering you a chance to win on every post. The blog blitz will run today,  May 10, through  May 21.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Four
My card was made with the new Large Poised Faerie!   And YES!  That is today's prize!
Glitter-Wing-Faerie
I started by painting a watercolor background.  I recently purchased and empty tin pan and am filling it with some of my favorite tube colors.  These are my first liquid watercolors (Tubes vs. dry pans) and I'm really enjoying them!
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Eight
This is the layout I decided on and where I decided to cut the wings.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Seven
I removed the wing die cuts, and added tape to the back side of the watercolor panel.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Six
Then I cut the wings from white card stock and inserted them inside the die cut windows on my watercolor panel.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Five
Next I sprinkled different colors of glitter inside the window opening and pressed it into the tape with my fingers.  Poppystamps owner and designer Dave Brethauer did a wonderful Glitter Inlay Technique You Tube video showing how here.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-One
The shiny glitter in the same colors as the watercolor panel give the wings the appearance that they are translucent - that you're seeing the color through her glittery wings.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Two
The simple "Wish" sentiment is from the "Make A Wish" word die set.  I double cut the die layering white over gold glitter paper.
Glitter-Wing-Faerie-Nine
This card is a little larger than my usual A2.  The finished size is 4 7/8 x 6".  That should give you an idea of how large the Poised Faerie die is.   She's so beautiful!

Would you  like to win this die for yourself?

Let me fill you in on all the details ok?

Spring Blog Blitz - Atessa Collage
by Ilona Zbieg

IMG_5860

Hello Everyone!

We are having the last two days of our Blog Blitz. You can leave a comments till March 21.

Today I'm sharing the new Atessa Collage die.

I made a fresh and spring card.  I painted white watercolor paper  in various shades of yellow and orange. I used my Peerless Watercolors from Birch Press Design. Then I used the Atessa Collage and cut out the background.

Under the yellow paper I glued kraft paper.  Each butterfly is the same size but in two colors: glitter gold and green. At the end I added a few gold sequins and splash sheet with black paint.

We've got some new dies to share and that means we're having a Blog Blitz!

During the the blitz we will be showing you projects made with the newest release and giving you a chance to win on every single post!

Florisima Trail
by Sue McRae

Welcome, I hope you've been following along with us this past week with the blog blitz we have going on. There's another week left of new products and fabulous inspiration by the design team.

P1350046c

Today I'm showcasing the Florisima Trail die. When I saw this die the first thing I thought of was using it to create a butterfly trail and that's exactly what I did.

Out of white linen card stock I die cut the Florisima Trail so that it would start at the butterfly and end off of the paper. I then flicked gold paint across this panel.

P1350106c

I took a piece of white card stock and created an inky rainbow using Distress Inks and gave it a quick spray with Perfect Pearls. I adhered this rainbow piece behind the opening in the white panel and inlaid the flowery trail right on top.

I die cut the largest butterfly from the Stitched Butterfly Trio from white card stock and inked it up with Distress Inks in blue and purple and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. Then I die cut the butterfly three times from black card stock and adhered all the butterfly layers together by adding adhesive to only the centre of the butterfly so the wings could be fluffed.

P1350080c

The butterfly and Scribble Thank You were adhered to the panel and that was attached to a black card base. I finished off the card with some gems.

If you would like a chance to win the Florisima Trail die, just leave a comment on this post.

Make sure to come back every day during the blog blitz and comment on each post for your chance to win the featured die.

Happy crafting!

I took this picture before the Golssy Accents had a chance to completely dry.

I added Yosemite to my tag because this card is designed with our Yosemite trips in mind.

In the photo above I wanted to show you how you can add fun foam even with the scraps you have that are not one whole piece . I just used my tape runner and cut the pieces to fit the panel . This is how I raise most of my cards or I use a full piece of fun foam. The nice thing a bout fun foam to raise the panel is that you can still stamp on it if you decide to later.( something I do often)

For the focal point, I featured a double layered pretty Scribble Flower Circle. I love all the pretty little flowers as they are the perfect place holders for tiny pearls. For the sentiment, I used the Scribble hello die and finished with a couple of Pretty Stitches trimming.

I couldn't resist embellishing with a triple layered Stitched Butterfly:

Today, I'm sharing a colorful Easter tag I created with the Preppy Flowers, beautiful, open wildflowers perfect for spring! Right off the die cutting machine, the flowers are all aligned in a pretty row on a little grassy hill. But here's an easy tip to make these flowers work just about anywhere!

IMG_4238-wm

The Preppy Flowers can be trimmed into individual flower pieces, then mounted with a tiny bit of glue behind the edge of your oval tag, or even in a straight line behind a horizontal border.

IMG_4239-wm

You can arrange the Preppy Flowers any way you like, then adhere your Fluffy Bunny with half of a foam pop dot.

IMG_4245-wm

You can even add a few flowers to the back of your tag too, giving it a touch of colorful whimsy!

Do you love these Preppy Flowers as much as I do! Simply leave a comment on this post and you might be selected as the lucky winner of this beautiful, steel crafted die!

Beautiful Day
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Welcome to the blog and a New release! We've got some new dies to share and that means we're having a Blog Blitz! During the the blitz we will be showing you projects made with the newest release and giving you a chance to win on every single post! Today I am sharing the Mushrooms and Toadstools die.

Revised poppy

I did some inking with distress inks. Used the Open Studio dies circles for my stage for my scene. I then added some die cut flowers from the Madison window set along with the greenery. Stickles are a must with any fairy scene.

I just love this card, she was a labor of love for me. Took me three days from my visualization to completion. I know some cards are like that for me.
