Gingerbread House Card
by Jennifer Svare

Gingerbread2
Hello!  This fun gingerbread house card was made using the Classic Cottage die.  I used this die for Thanksgiving placeholders last week.  This is a similar idea with the trees and house, but just by switching to bright colors and turning it all into gingerbread, it's easy to create a card with a completely different look! This would also make a fun shaker card.

I love how the gingerbread boy and girl dies have so many options in the way they cut out into separate pieces.  I used the key lime and red gingham paper by Birchpress Design for the vest and dress.

I also wanted to show how cute the trees look over top of Birchpress Design's gingham paper.  I didn't use it for this project, but just had to show it!  There is transparent glitter paper over top:

Poinsettia Mini
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_4996-wm

Hello Everybody!

We hope you are all enjoying our Holiday Blog Blitz and are finding beautiful ideas and inspiration along the way! Today, I am sharing a card that I have created with the beautiful Poinsettia Mini! Take a look!

IMG_4991-wm

I began with a completely different idea, but let the card take the shape of its own, and I love the final result! I began by cutting out seven tiny Poinsettia Mini pieces out of shiny, red foil paper, and set them aside. Originally I had planned to add a lot of snowflakes and fairies, but then I thought about a Christmas greenhouse, warm and balmy and filled with poinsettias! Native to Mexico, the poinsettia carries symbolic religious meaning in many countries. Did you know that in the United States, December 12 is National Poinsettia Day?

IMG_4994-wm

I used a handful of my favorite Poppystamps dies to create this sparkly card, and they all cut so well through thicker foil and glitter papers. I curled the leaves upward to add dimension, and mounted the tiny poinsettias with tiny bits of foam pop dots to raise them off the page just a touch. The centers are tiny silver pearls.

Our Blog Blitz runs from November 20 -30, so make sure you leave a comment on every day that you'd like to win! Today's prize is the Poinsettia Mini!

Thanks so much for joining us today!

Gingerbread Tag CU3 With Water

My project for today is a tag card. I used Poppystamps Merry Christmas Tag as my main feature and added Gingerbread Boys and a Gingerbread Girl plus a pine bough with a festive red bow.  The Gingerbread kids have the cutest clothes and the Holiday Hats fit them perfectly!  To add their happy faces I used a white gel pen.Gingerbread Tag CU1 With Water

My video will show you how I created the snowfall background using Memory Box Tiny Dots Stencil and modeling paste! I added a silver dot to the center of the bow after I made the video; I thought it needed a little somethin' somethin' to finish the card!

If you would like to win the Gingerbread Boy and Gingerbread Girl die sets, here is what you need to do!

Challenge Me A Christmas Card - Candles
by Jeanne Jachna

Is it starting to feel like Christmas is just around the corner? In a panic and looking for ideas? Michelle Lupton from Handmade By Michelle blog is having a special event! Every day she has a different challenge - Michelle makes a card, and she asks one of her crafty friends to play along too. Some of the challenges are very unique and creative so you'll want to check it out! I got an easy one! The challenge Michelle and I are both playing along with today is "CANDLES"!  The Christmas candles that stand out the most in my mind  are the pink and purple ones on an advent wreath.   Each candle represents one of the four weeks before Christmas!
Candles
I started by die cutting a large POINTED OVAL FRAME die cut. I traced the outline on a card base and inked up everything outside the oval with Tumbled Glass distress ink . I wanted to placed three FORMAL CANDLES inside the oval, but I wanted to make them GLOW!   To achieve this effect I die cut a small circle from card stock.  I used this as a mask to ink up the glow.  I used Mustard Seed for the circle shape and then added Squeezed Lemonade for a soft glow.  I was very careful to stay inside the pencil marked oval.
Candles-Two
Next I added a slightly larger oval cut from gold and adhered it over the pencil drawn oval.   Next I adhered the candles and created a wreath from SMALL BLOOMING POINSETTIAS and WHISPY PINE NEEDLES.
Candles
The finishing touch is flower center gems and a simple sentiment created by die cutting the MERRY CHRISTMAS SCRIPT  from gold glitter and fold foil paper and adhering them slightly off set.

Hi there sweet crafty friends! Welcome to the November Blog Blitz.

We are already deep into the busy Holiday season, with Christmas just a bit away.

I made another clean and simple card using the darling Tiny Fawns and the new Large Window Cut Out ( thats the prize I am giving away today.  The window seal is layered 3 times , for the glitter background  I added a rectangle of double sided sticky paper then glittered it that give a nice even patch of glitter .Download-1

Many years ago I made a birch tree card, to make the branches I stamped a sentiment on top of them in a light grayish color to mock the lines on the real trees. That is what did on the Tree Trunks from Poppystamps

Download-7

Here is a larger  picture of the stamped trees.

Download-5

I used Masters Touch watercolor paper from Hobby Lobby ( I get a lot of questions  about that) Don't forget all you have to do is leave a comment for a chance to with the Large Window Cut Out Die 1970.

The Blog Blitz 20th-30th November So you have plenty of time to leave comments . Hugs and Blessing to you all!

Thanks for the visit today .

Faerie Kingdom Challenge
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_4909-wm

Holiday magic is in the air,  sparkling with the dreams of sugar plum faeries and frosty winter days! That's certainly how I imagined my beautiful holiday faerie card I created for the November Challenge, Faerie Kingdom! There's still a little time left to create a card or project using at least one Poppystamps die or stamp. How will you create a Faerie Kingdom?

11-17+copy IMG_4906-wm

I began my Sugarplum Faerie card by mounting the Brilliant Leaf Frame onto a crisp white card base. I cut out a handful of Stitched Oak Trio leaves in green glittery paper, and curled them up at the ends with my fingers. I added the Scribble Snowflake Circle, and adhered the Winterland Faerie with some foam bits to give her a little pop. A few Faerie sequins finished it off with a little sparkle and shine!

IMG_4904-wm

We can't wait to see what you'll create! Show us your Faerie Kingdom and you might be randomly selected to win a gorgeous new Poppystamps surprise!

Thanks so much for joining us today!
