Marine Birthday Wishes
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Today I am sharing a masculine card that I made for my youngest son. He is a U.S. Marine and today is his 23 Birthday!

Poppy masculine Bday

I used the Circle Layers from Birch Press Design on my base card along with a stitched Oval die for the platform for my Daisies.

Poppy3

I used the green black and a pop of white for a very masculine feel. The  Happy Birthday streamer die I mounted to green yardstick strips.

I added a dimensional military sticker on there for him.

Have a great weekend!

Dream Butterfly
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with all things metallic and shiny!

P1350500c

I used lots of gilding flakes on my card today, so lets get started.

For the background I took the Floribunda Collage and die cut it twice from a piece of A2 card stock to create a stencil. I taped this over a piece of white card stock and sponged on glitter glue (which dries tacky). I removed the stencil and added my gilding flakes over the flower images.

P1350512c

I die cut the Dream Butterfly from teal metallic paper and created a base for the butterfly which I covered with double sided adhesive and added a different color of gilding flakes.

P1350521c

To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment with teal embossing powder and foam mounted it to my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Summer Hello
by Olga Direktorenko

Have you checked out all the new fabulous flower dies by Poppystamps? They are so much fun to play with I couldn't help creating a summer bouquet with them.

Another clever die is a Halo Hello that consists of a word die cut and a "halo". The halo can be used to create a background/shadow for the word, but I have decided to use a negative space to turn it into a shaker window.

Check out the video tutorial below for the detailed explanation of the process!

Ballerina Shaker Card
by Jeanne Jachna

Celebrate-Dance-Four
I hope you're having a beautiful day!  I sure hope you love pink because if you do you're going to love my card today!    Every time I see a ballerina I have to think of my daughter taking dance classes when she was about 5.  Things didn't work out so well for my little girl who was more concerned with the stickers they put on the floor to let the girls know where to stand than learning Plie and Jete, but boy did she ever look cute all in pink, head to toe, tutu and satin slippers!
Celebrate-Dance-Six
I thought the FLORAL DANCE COLLAGE would make a fun shaker!  To spice things up a bit I added some layers of pink ombre under the shaker.
Celebrate-Dance-Two
I cut panels in three shades of pink with the PRETTY STITCHES border set.   The different shaped openings and fancy stitched detail adds a touch of elegance to the design.
Celebrate-Dance-One
The two darker shades of pink are adhered directly to the card base while only the top (lightest layer) is adhered with adhesive foam tape.  This creates a pocket to fill with seed beads and sequins! You can see the dimension here.
Celebrate-Dance-Three
A die cut makes the perfect simple sentiment.  This FANCY CELEBRATE die fits inside the FLORAL DANCER COLLAGE opening perfectly!
Celebrate-Dance-Five
I love a shaker card!  Something about it just fascinates me!  OK .. so I'm easily amused!  HAHA!  The finishing touch on this one is a few BUTTERFLY SPRINKLES!  They're dancing along with this ballerina.
Celebrate-Dance
Have a great day!  I hope you find some time to make something beautiful!
Hugs!

Beaded Daisy
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with a clean and simple card design today.

P1350451c

For my design I chose the Ragged Daisy die. There's just something so charming about this sweet flower. I decided to cover the flower with micro beads for a fun and different look.

P1350467c

I attached double sided adhesive to red card stock, die cut the daisy parts and pressed the petals into multi-coloured micro beads and pressed the flower centre, stem and leaves into gold micro beads. I really like the texture that the beads give to the flower!

P1350471c

Since I wanted the focus to be on the pretty bloom, I went with a simple design and used the Heart Pattern Plate for my background.

P1350468c

For the sentiment I took the Happy Birthday Streamer and die cut it once from white card stock and once from red card stock. I adhered the white layer to the red layer so that the red colour would help to give a visual contrast between the white sentiment and white background.

P1350472c

To finish off my card, I adhered the white panel onto a red card base.

Thanks for visiting with me today and happy crafting!

Flowers bloom
by Ilona Zbieg

IMG_6541

 Hi

Today I would like to present this energetic, positive card. White background is done with two cut outs made with Floribunda Collage one on each side. As usual I used watercolor paper underneath the white one. Stiched Butterfly Trio forthose lovely butterflies - big one layers are again painted with watercolor paints. Please check how the Love text is done - again two layers - one inside the other. I think it looks better then just a single  cut out. I used here the Big Halo Love die.

All is finished with some sequins to make it slightly shiner. Hope you enjoy it!

Happy Dad's Day
by Jinny Newlin

Morning, y'all!  It's Jinny here today, sharing the card I stretched my stash to make my dad for Father's Day.

Poppy Happy Dad's Day - JinnyNewlin
I started this card by adding green and blue, watercolor puddles to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of watercolor paper.  I then splattered it with those same shades of watercolor, as well as teal watercolor, before smearing Tumbled Glass Distress Ink through the Memory Box Winter Snowflakes stencil and splattering once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  The Stitched Tunnel Tag was then die-cut, from the prepped piece, just left of vertical center and set aside for later before matting that same original, watercolor piece with white cardstock and anchoring it, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches, to the Brocade Blue, cardstock, card face.  I then used the "happy valentine's day" stamp, from our Grateful Heart stamp set, to make the "happy DAD's day" sentiment by replacing the "valentine" with die-cut, from teal cardstock, using our Happy Birthday Bold die, letters to spell "DAD".

6.17.17 052
The Stitched Tunnel Tag, that had been set aside previously, was then laced with Baker's Twine...

6.17.17 058
backed with a bit of cheesecloth for texture; and popped up, with foam tape, in the same, negative space from which it was initially die-cut.

Poppy Happy Dad's Day zoom - JinnyNewlin

It was also topped with a stamped in Jet Black ink, watercolored, and hand-cut Be Mine Penguin, dressed in a top hat and tie and popped up with more foam tape, in addition to a stamped, in Cotton White StazOn ink, on clear cardstock and die-cut Grateful Heart.  The stamped Grateful Heart was backed with another die-cut, clear, cardstock Grateful Heart, before they were stitched together; but before finishing off the last few white-threaded, straight, machine stitches, I stuffed the formed, heart pocket with Raspberry, Seaspray, Crystal, and silver star sequins, as well as silver seed beads, to complete the look.

Thanks, as always, for visiting us!  Be blessed!

Just Saying Hello.
by Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, my favourite flowers are Poppies! red or any colour, love the delicate petals on these flowers..I have tried to capture this on these petals..using Poppystamps "Blooming Poppy die"

IMG_0523-crop

Hope you do not think these Poppies  look messy!! lol.. to me that`s  how our Poppies  look in the UK..

I normally use a crepe paper. you have to be careful as this is not colour fast with water..

OK this is the product I have used..had in my stash for years..Good old Coffee Filters!!! bet your thinking I`ve gone mad!!!  here is how..

IMG_0488

Leave the coffee filters as they are double, ink with a blending tool, I used distress "fired brick"  ink both side.

IMG_0490
Spray with plenty of water and dry with a heat tool.. Next cut out just the petals from Poppystamps. Blooming Poppy die.

IMG_0491
This is how I add shape.. moulding mat and ball tool..I separated the two of each from the coffee filter..top are ones as they have been cut..bottom petals have been shaped, it is a strong paper even when wet..

IMG_0492

One set of petals on the left..right side flower made ..I dipped just the  centre of the petal in the glue.. adhered as shown..before you add the last bottom petal, glue the black stamen in.

I also added some glossy accents to the back, gave more stability to the flower.

IMG_0519-crop (2)
Close up of Blooming Poppies on dark green stems.. Gental Leaf Collage for the background, shaded with distress ink Tumbled Glass, dot of green are from Poppystamps New "Studio Blotter" CL449 clear stamps, infilled with "Heart Screen" die cuts.

Just Saying from "Sentiment Of Hello" CL451 stamps with "Little Luxe Hello" die cut in white card shadowed with green card.

Hope you like my take on Poppy flowers..

Window Display
by Olga Direktorenko

Hello and thanks for stopping  by! I keep on playing with the Faerie dies from Poppystamps May release. Each of them comes with a pair of beautiful wings, but of course they can be used with or without them.

This time I have used the Faeries to create some dummies to display in a shop window!
