Dandelion Stem
by Pam Simpson

Hello Everyone.

Love using flowers and pretty borders, thought I would share how easy it is to make a lacy frame from a border die.

See what I mean! how pretty is this frame and these gorgeous Dandelion Stems both from Poppystamps.

I made a frame with dies from my stash! you could do this with a cutter or craft knife and pencil lines ...Poppystamps "Pretty Stitches" border measure`s  5.1/2" long..my inside frame measure`s the same 5.1/2" outside measure`s 6.1/2" ..this make`s   1/2" frame, ..in the photo I have cut 4 borders , adhered two on the reverse to show, this you do to these 4 borders.

How pretty does this frame look.. I used 3d foam tape to apply to my Lilac background.

I wanted some feature on the background..this is another very easy thing to do.  6.1/2" square Lilac card.. find the center .. using Memory Box..Open Studio Stitched Oval Layers, tape as shown..NEXT   run through your machine to Emboss these dies (Not Cut), next while still on the card run a line of glue center ovals, remove these and add loose glitter, I use Glamour Dust.

Few splatters of white paint on the background, two Dandelion stems adhered the center of the flower only, to finish liquid pearls, with two ribbon swirls from  Open Studio "Banner Parade" ..sentiment from CL443. Grateful Heart stamp set by Poppystamps.

Thank you for stooping by today..

Beautiful card. Love the frame and embossing with the dies.

Beautiful card. Thanks for showing how you did the lovely frame and the embossed center.

Stunning card, so beautiful. Love that dandelion die.

Wow!! Love this card! Thank you for sharing the step by step tutorial for making the frame with the Pretty Stitches dies, I was hoping I could do that with mine when they arrive, now I know how! The embossed Stitched Ovals adds a beautiful element to the center of the card. The Dandelion Stems are beautiful in white, the verse is perfect. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous, inspiring art card today! Just the cheering up card I needed to see on this gloomy day.

Hewllo Pam,

This card is like a breath of Spring. It is truly lovely. I always look forward to seeing what you have created and you never fail. Your work is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

Such a pretty card Pam and love the dandelion stems are they a new die as I've not seen it before, I know they are a weed but there is just something a little magical about a dandelion clock that not thinking about all the hassle they can cause as they blow and distribute their seeds across your garden they just make me smile, (makes yours even more magical as they don't plant themselves). Thanks for sharing and happy Easter.
