Hi there! It's Mona here today to share a mixed media style card featuring several products from the New Spring 2017 Release along with other fun Poppystamps products. To create the background, I randomly spritzed die cut memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers with various color sprays. The largerBox Stitched Rectangle features two Ring a Ding Corners layered on top. Once the background was completed, I embellished with a die cut Garden Lantern which I added a coating of embossing enamel that added a little shimmer and shine:

I embellished the lantern with a double layered Stitched Butterfly Trio then finished with a Scribble Hello sentiment:

Celebration Balloon Collage.
by Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, A New Arrival card I`m sharing today.

IMG_0113-crop

How cute is this Stitched Elephant die from Poppystamps,  it does say stitched! when you cut out it leaves stitching on the negative card, I did not want to use that as I wanted a flying Elephant lol. with these balloon.

IMG_0112-crop

I wanted some detail around this "Celebration Balloon Collage" oval..I have no oval die that I could make a frame with the same size! I left  the die in place after running through my die cutting machine, using a fine tip pen I drew dashers & x`s .. also did this technique on my main card shape.

IMG_0121-crop

For my multi colours on my text and string ribbon bow, I drew lines onto waste card with pro markers colours as shown, using dies ran through my die cutting machine.

IMG_0120-crop

Coloured elephant with grey pro markers, shaped and used foam tape to attach as shown.. random sparkly gems. finished card  6.1/2" x 5.1/2" size.

Thank you for stopping by..Pam ...

Happy Easter
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Good Morning Poppystamps fans! I have  an Easter card for you today.

Final poppy

I did an inlay technique here. I used three colors of cardstock.

IMG_2778

Use a post it note to hold the die in place, I ran my background colors with the white to get my positioning of my papers correct.
IMG_2785

You will need to save all the tiny pieces to insert back into the letters as shown in the photo below.

You'll notice I used green to match the grass below and blue on top. There are several variations of this technique. It can be tedious but well worth the end result. I created my own grass tufts using fringe scissors and a strip of cardstock. Just tucking the eggs into the grass. A couple hopping bunnies to tie into the theme.

I added Stickles with a paint brush and a little grey copic marker to the clouds. I hope you enjoy my Easter Card.

Today a simple, colorful card.
I used the dies from our newest collections.

The work was made on a white cardstock, I added a green panel, here I used Tailored Stitched.

Then I cut two times on the green cards of the 'Scribble Flower Circle' wheel.
I added some flowers and yellow dots.
Finally, I used the word happy with Happy Birthday Streamer.

Hi there! It's Mona here today to share a mixed media style layout featuring a variety of fabulous products included in the New 2017 Spring Release along with a variety of other Poppystamps products as well as a photo of my sweet daughter Angie. This layout has a textured background that was created using the memory box Texture Chicken Wire stencil and is embellished with beautiful Poppystamps Stitched Bloom Trio flowers, Stitched Butterfly Trio butterflies, Freida Leaf foliage, a Festival Tag, a Garden Lantern and a Scribble Flower Circle:

Here's a few step shots I took along the way:

To create the background, I started with a 12" x 12" piece of watercolor paper. I applied a coat of clear gesso, allowed to dry then to create lots of texture, I used texture paste along with the memory box Texture Chicken Wire Stencil:

MonaPendletonStencil

Once dry, I applied a thin coat of white gesso:

MonaPendletonGesso

After the gesso was dry, I randomly applied various colors of paint:

MonaPendletonPaints

While the paints were drying, I created the embellishments. I applied Distress crackle paint to the die cut Garden Lantern. Once dry, I applied Distress Ink:

MonaPendletonLantern

To create the flowers, I die cut several Stitched Bloom Trio flowers using watercolor paper then colorized with spray as shown below and paint (not shown):

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed my project today as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Fine Little Feathers
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_4306-wm

Hello Everybody!

There's a fine little trend popping up all over the place, Tiny Feathers! Lined up in rows, scattered, thrown, or blown, colorful little feathers are the season's MUST HAVE new dies!

IMG_4302-wm

I used the Tiny Feathers die set and a sentiment from Into the Words to create this colorful row of feathers. I began with some watercolor paper scraps and painted a rainbow hued panel, then die cut all the feathers.

IMG_4299-wm

Once the feathers were cut, I curled up both ends of each feather a little just by using my fingers, then lined them up on my card in a design I liked. They look so pretty against a crisp, white background.

IMG_4304-wm
The sky's the limit with the latest fine feather trend!

Thanks so much for joining us today!
