Happy Birthday
by Jinny Newlin

Morning, y'all!  It's Jinny here today; and I'm so excited to be back, sharing a project, showcasing more of what our January 2017 Release has to offer!  This one made it to my brother-in-law, for his birthday, late last week.  Enjoy!

Poppy Happy Birthday - JinnyNewlin

I started this card by watercoloring a piece of watercolor paper in various shades of green.  I then speckled it with those same watercolors, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints, before using the Happy Birthday Tag craft die to remove its center.  I then went back and filled in a portion of that center with a separate, Basic Black, cardstock, Happy Birthday Tag die cut.  The entire piece was then backed with a sheet of clear cardstock to create the window, which was filled in with a variety of sequins, seed beads, and a number of cardstock, Tiny Feathers die cuts.

For the back of the window, I used a plain piece of white cardstock so as not to compete with everything else that was already going on.  Black-threaded, straight, machine stitching secures all the layers together.  The entire piece was then popped off the surface of the white, cardstock, card face with foam tape and dressed up with a double, white, seam binding ribbon bow, embellished with a black, gingham bow, as well as a black button, laced with teal twine, tied in a bow.

Thanks, as always, for humbling us with a visit!  Have a blessed last day of January, and we'll see you next month!  Hugs!

Stitched Bloom Trio
by Irena Kowalczyk

Hello, Poppystamps friends.
One of the newest die sets is the Stitched Bloom Trio.
I used them in today's card.

I made a short tutorial on how to make a flower.
I used a foam Foamiran and Stitched Bloom Trio dies.

3. The foam acts on the hot iron, causes that it becomes easy formatting.
4. When flowers begin to shrink a little, fingers need to be turn.
5. Then gently to form flowers.
6. Put all that hot glue.

When the flower ready, time for the creation of the card.

Leaves from the collection "Delicate Peony clear stamp" Birch Press Design, stamping and added powder embossing.
Then I cut out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love You Always
by Olga Direktorenko

This masculine Valentine's Day Tag is made entirely with the dies and stamps from Poppystamps January Release

Because I have added so many layers the tag feels like it's made of chipboard or plastic. I also like the fact that it can be used as home decor.

You can find the instructions on how to make it in the VIDEO TUTORIAL down below:

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

Hello Urban Skyline
by Jeanne Jachna

Happy Saturday!  I hope your day is off to a good start!  I love the weekends!  It seems like the only time of the week when the whole family is together and free to do things!  We live about an hour from Chicago and like to day trip into the city when the weather is fine.  There is always something going on and the air feels charged with energy!   Today I'm showing two cards made with the new Urban Skyline Collage!

I created a rainbow watercolor panel to put behind the collage.  I wanted it to look like a sun rise coming up over the city.   Here's what the panel looked like before I covered it with the Urban Skyline Collage die cut.
For my sentiment I double cut the Scribble Hello die once from gold glitter paper, and once from gold foil.  I adhered them together and attached them to the scene.
The collage dies make easy shaker cards too!   I used the same layout and  simple watercolor background but used the Urban Skyline die cut as a window for my shaker.
This time it's nightfall in the city - the sky is magenta and violet.   The sprinkles are gold sequins and stars to fill the night sky.
I added a few Butterfly Sprinkles to draw your eye around the card!
What will you make today?

Flickering Butterfly
by Ilona Zbieg

Hi All :)

I know that you are all looking forward for the results of our Blog Blitz. Come back here tomorrow when we will announce winners names.

Today I would like to show  you to my latest inspiration in January.

I made an eco style card. The focal point is a butterfly Flickering Butterfly Collage, which I cut in kraft paper. I painted white paper watercolor in various shades of turquoise color.

This paper is glued between two layers of eco paper. This is the background of my butterfly.

White paper embellished with ornaments - Finial Flourish craft die.

At the end I added a few sequins and splash sheet of white and turquoise paint.

Thank you for stopping by, have a good Friday :)

12 Hearts of Love
By Lezlye Lauterbach

12 Hearts of Love

I know more Valentine's, Anniversary or just because .... :) I can't help it.

12 heartslovepoppy

I used the hearts that were die cut from the inlay heart and heart channel die. the large love is a die from Open Studio a division of Memory Box and Poppystamps called all about love.

I also used the New impression plate on white cardstock and then cut it down to the size mat I needed for my 12 hearts. This is a great way to use your cuts. Just simple store your cuts with your dies and use them negatives and positive parts of the dies.

Have a fabulous day! Su is out here in CA so I am a happy girl!

Grateful Heart
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with a heartfelt thank you card.

For the background I took a piece of card stock and inked it up with Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Picked Raspberry. I ran that through my die cut machine with the Heart Pattern Plate and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. This die is one of my faves from the new release. The pretty pattern adds subtle texture for backgrounds.

I white embossed the row of hearts from the Grateful Heart stamp set onto water colour paper, die cut it and painted the hearts with Twinkling H2O's in gold. Here's a pic showing the lovely metallic shine of the gold.

I decided I wanted to add a mess of white pearl thread behind the hearts. Boy, was that a chore to do! I couldn't seem to control the mess in a somewhat neat way but went with what I had.

The sentiment is the Thank You Channel and was die cut from water colour card stock that I painted with Twinkling H2O's in pink.

The card was finished with the addition of a few sequins.

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a crafty day!
