Happy Spring
by Yoonsun Hur

Hello crafty friends, Yoonsun here!

Today I'm sharing with you a watercolour card that I've made using Hampstead Oval Frame die.

To create the card:
1. Die cut Hampstead Oval Frame from watercolour paper, then watercolour it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using waterbrush.
2. Die cut the word "Happy" from white card stock using Freehand Happy Spring die, then colour it with gold Gansai Tambi Watercolor.
3. Die cut the butterflies from pearl white card stock using Devyn Butterfly Trio dies.
4. Watercolour the background with Gansai Tambi Watercolor using a wet flat brush.
5. Mount all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape.
6. Embellish with a few Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!!

Sue here today with some inlaid die cutting and using Liquid Pearls in an unexpected way!

I have quite a few bottles of Liquid Pearls sitting on my craft shelf  just waiting to be used and they come in such pretty colours. I wanted to somehow incorporate the pretty pearly look of them onto my card so I took white card stock, squeezed on Liquid Pearls and used a piece of card board to squeegee the Liquid Pearls across the card stock. I let this dry (it dries in a few minutes) and ran the pearl papers with my dies through my die cutting machine.

Love the pretty sheen of these pearlized papers! The camera just can't pick up the true beauty of how they look.

I took the Loopy Stem and Fancy Thanks dies and die cut the white panel with them so I could inlay the matching die cuts for a smooth finish.

The Devyn Butterfly Trio and Emelia Butterfly Trio weren't inlaid, I wanted them to have some dimension.

I hope you like the Liquid Pearls idea! Thanks for visiting with me today!

Reach for the stars
by Ilona Zbieg

Ilona here today.

Welcome all after Easter.

I would like to show you a new card with watercolor background. I made this effect with ecoline ink.

The next step was to make stars. I used Memory box stencil and white pigment ink.

Then I cut two versions of the stars - white and yellow, and I glued them on the card mixing colors of stars.

The last step was stamping with inscription.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Bellina Corner Tag
by Michele K. Henderson

Spring is a wonderful time of year for card makers. There's so much love to share! I also share thanks for a lot of people right after Easter too, from the Easter bunny himself to the ladies who decorate our church for the beautiful Easter Sunday services and the upcoming Easter season ahead. I created a quick and easy breezy spring tag you can make in a hurry and add a little cheerful spring note on the back!

I used the Stitched Octagon Layers from Memory Box Open Studio as the base for my tag, and added the gorgeous Bellina Corner butterflies. I added a few Scribble Clouds and the Pinpoint Dome Tag Decorations and that was it! You can make a handful of these tags in different colors and sizes and keep on hand for a quick Thank You note to just about anyone!

Join us for more great inspiration and ideas from our creative Poppystamps team every day! We've got big surprises and more challenges on the way. You won't want to miss a thing!

Thanks for joining us today!

Happy Easter
by Yoonsun Hur

Hello crafty friends, Yoonsun here!

Today I'm sharing with you simple and easy cards that I've made using Easter Excitement and Love Note stamp sets.

For my first card, I made "Happy Easter" card with Easter Excitement stamp set. First I randomly stamped the images from Easter Excitement set onto watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Vintage Sepia, then coloured the negative background space instead of the stamped images with Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink using waterbrush. For the cute bow, I used Open Studio Stitched Bows dies.

For my second card, I made "Bear Hugs" card with Love Note stamp set. I randomly stamped the images from Love Note set onto watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Vintage Sepia, then coloured the background with Worn Lipstick Distress ink using waterbrush. It's so easy to make, right?!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Easter everyone!!

Happy Birthday Melody.
by Pam Simpson

Hello everyone, Pam here today sharing a birthday card with you.

Love this Poppystamp die "Happy Birthday Melody"  great die for male or female even children. this I adhered to a Gray card  panel. The pretty white border.   Memory Box. Open Studio. "Stitched Country Border" with "Country Stitches" this one just emboss`s your card.

I made the floral display with "Prairie Thistle"  &  "Hampstead Stem".  I have no idea what this thistle looks like,  so used my favourite Spun Sugar distress ink and glitter, I cut two and layered the flower heads up, with a hot glue gun, leaf spray  cut with white and gray card, used a pro maker to colour these green.

Two Stitched  Main Street Tags, placed behind the border, rayon ribbon and charm added.

Thanks for your visit, it is Easter Time in the UK..Good Friday today!   Pam x

First Butterfly of Spring
by Olga Direktorenko

You don't really need much more than the cardstock and the nice collection of Poppystamps dies to make a card. In this example the dies are used to create a card shape, a background texture, layers and focal images.

NOTE: Kaysen Oval Frame works with the new Studio Oval Layers so you can easily create backgrounds, frames and layers for it.

Thank you for visiting and have a fabulous day!

Lucky Hello
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Welcome Spring! I love GREEN! The hills all around me are green due to some much needed rain. Yahoo! I decided to make my card primarily green and white with a splash of gold!

I used the Darling Viola Die along with the viola leaves for my focal point.Cutting them out of white and two shades of green for added intrest.

I layered them up as shown and added foam square mounting tape to the back. I cut my sentiment hello out of green as well. Set my layers up and found and awesome piece

of textured paper to mount my diet flowers on. Some gold sparkle paper strips spaced behind the textured piece for some wow factor.. Bling was added in a visual triangle.

Watercolor Hexagons
by JJ Bolton

This card is a mixture of a few things I love: watercoloring, gold, and die cutting.  I knew I wanted to back this die cut with a bright watercolor background.  But to mix things up a bit, I added a few inlaid pieces of metallic gold card stock.

For the watercolored background, I just mixed some bright pinks and oranges with a spritz of white mist.

I love how the celestial look of the watercoloring!  Such a fun (and easy) card:)

That's it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
