Inlaid Dogwood Wreath
by JJ Bolton

Jjbolton_leafwreath1

I've got some more dogwood blossoms to share with you today!  This time I've paired the blooms with the beautiful Hampstead Oval Frame.   This die cuts such a beautiful, delicate wreath with some lovely embossed detailing.

Jjbolton_leafwreath1b

I die cut the leafy wreath and painted it with watercolors.  To color the flowers, I used some ink and a sponge blender for a softer look.

Jjbolton_leafwreath1c

For this card, I did a partial inlay technique where only the inside portion of the wreath is inlaid into the wreath.  The entire piece was then adhered to the card with foam tape.  Here's a closer look at the layers...

That's it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi everyone Pam here with a birthday card. with a  different flower using new Poppystamp  Marcelle flower die.

IMG_8200-crop

Card size 7"x 7".. I have used "Happy Birthday Floral Frame" lovely pretty die this, I used  green card to create a shadow on the  happy birthday.

This frame I layered onto a white Open Studio "Stitched circle layer" and green "Stitched Scallop Layers".

IMG_8204-crop

Poppy stamps "Marcelle Flower" to create these flowers, I think they make lovely Lilies..one flower cut in Velum other in a Translucent pearl paper, just adhered together at the base, I poked a hole in this to put these stamens through, coloured with orange wink of stella, tip used a permanent black pen..

These would be lovely for Easter Lilies..

Added green "Freida Leaf" to the floral spray with pearls.

Embossing folder from my stash. few pearl in orange to finish.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting..Pam x

Frilly Bunny
by Ilona Zbieg

Hello :)

Ilona here today.

Today I want to show you an Easter card. Since last year Frilly Bunny is my favorite Poppystamps dies for Easter  .

I used  watercolors inks [Ecoline]  to make a simple background.  Background in green and turquoise color is fresh and spring.

After I cut a bunny, I decorate it with glitter.

Easter Crocus
by Sue McRae

Hi everyone, Sue here with a happy spring Easter card!

P1300727c

It will be at least another month before the crocuses start blooming in my next of the woods but I can always enjoy them in my card making!

P1300646c

I started off creating my pot planters by taking one of the Memory Box Stitched Octagon die cuts and slicing it in half.

P1300650c

To add texture to the pots I ran them through my Big Shot with an embossing folder and added ink to darken the raised areas.

P1300731c

The grass and crocuses were die cut from white card stock and coloured with Distress Inks.

P1300718c

I added Prisma glitter to the flower heads, flicked some gold paint on the background and stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Spring View
by Michele K. Henderson

IMG_2617-wm

Spring is arriving soon, and all the wonderful, colorful signs of new life are appearing all around us! I created this pretty springtime card using a few dies from the Poppystamps new release, along with some of my most loved old favorites! You can find all of these fresh, fun dies right here at Poppystamps!

IMG_2615-wm

I love the look of the Grand Gothic Window and the Grand Gothic Iron Work dies! They always remind me of an old-fashioned church window. I added the Stitched Swirl Ste, and the Marcelle Flower, in shades of greens and purples, to give it an Easter holiday feel. The little yellow birds are from the Serendipity Bird Frame.

Dogwood's Falling
by Lezlye Lauterbach

Dogwood1

Today I have two cards to share using the same supplies. I love it when I can use the positive and negative cuts for cards! That is what I have done here. First, I made me sunset papers using Ranger distress ins. I used two different papers to show the difference. Watercolor paper and Neenah Solor White. The solar white Neenah is what I used for the card as I felt the colors blended more smoothly using the circular blending tool. I spritzed with water to create the white drops.

Dogwood2
I inlaid the flowers from the cut on this card and added wink of stella for a sparkle. The Thanks was cut from black sparkle paper.

Dogwood7

I LOVE the boldness of this and adding the pearls as flower centers along with a white cut Dogwood stem.

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail
by Jeanne Jachna

Bunny-Trail-Four
You already know that Poppystamps has so many pretty dies - but have you checked out all the great stamp sets they have?  Today I'm playing with the Easter Excitement set.  What's really unique to me about the Poppy sets - besides the obvious super cute images - is the number of dies you get with the coordinating dies set.  There is a matching die for just about every image in the stamp set.
Bunny-Trail-Five
It's really easy to create a scene.  I used Peerless watercolors from Birch Press Design to make a simple background.   You don't have to be an expert at  watercolor - I used two colors for this background - blue for sky, and green for grass.   If you look close you will see that I kept a very small margin between the green and the blue so that they would not blend together.
Bunny-Trail-One
Next add the stamped images...   I stamped the sentiment and stitched springy arch that gives my bunny motion directly onto the watercolor paper with Versafine ink.  Make sure you ink it up good and stamp it a few times on scratch paper before you commit to the textured watercolor paper.  Dont worry if your impression isn't perfect - you can fill in any missed areas with a fine point marker.
Bunny-Trail-Three
I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them with Copic Markers.  The images are easy to die cut because the coordinating dies are window cuts.   You simply place the die over the stamped image, tape the die in place and then die cut.
Bunny-Trail-Two
I adhered the die cut images with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension.  I love all the extras in the stamp set like the butterflies, and little chickie.  There is even a jelly bean, heart and carrot in the set!!  This was a fun scene to create and I know you'll love working with these sets.
Bunny-Trail
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
